i thought of this technique too now my baby can walk with little support at 11 months, her sense of balance is getting better, im actually holding her loose, not to tight so she wont depend too much of her weight in the support and not be walking in slanted position

This is a great idea! Simple, but I never thought to do it this way! Thank you. My daughter is 8 months and beginning to stand on her own while leaning on objects. I did this a week ago and she instantly bent her legs in a sitting position though. I don't think she was in the mood bc she usually loves standing, but that was about over a week ago so I'll try again.

I think a towel would be better, as the towel is more soft. just keep practicing, maybe try some other fun activities as well. You can download our app, where you will find more exercises and activities. good luck

My baby walks on his tippy toes or he will stand up then take a few steps and falls when I did this I’ll do this everyday to see what it do.
@BabyExercises2 ай бұрын
It sounds like your little one is experimenting with walking, which is fantastic! Many babies go through a phase where they walk on their tiptoes as they build strength, balance, and coordination. Here are some tips to help him improve his balance and get more comfortable walking flat-footed: Barefoot Practice: Letting him walk barefoot (or in non-slip socks) helps him feel the floor better, which can naturally encourage him to use his whole foot. Encourage Flat-Footed Walking: Try gently guiding his feet down if he’s up on his toes. You can also practice activities like squatting to pick up toys, which encourages using the full foot. Strengthening Exercises: Games that involve standing up and squatting down, or stepping over low obstacles, can help strengthen his leg and ankle muscles. Hold Hands for Confidence: Walk with him while holding his hands lightly, which can help him focus on balance without relying on tiptoeing. If he continues to rely mainly on his toes for walking as he gets older (by 18 months or so), you might want to check with a pediatrician or physical therapist to rule out any muscle tightness. But for now, it sounds like he’s just figuring out his balance! Enjoy these early steps-he’s doing great! 🌟👣

Such a cutie pie, but why rush him or 'teach' him to walk? He'll walk when he is ready to!
@BabyExercises7 жыл бұрын
We agree that there is no need to rush our children, but we teach our children lots of things, why not walking?
@kaladwarakanath55036 жыл бұрын
This is a physical activity. Babies are programmed to do it on their own when they are ready and able to. No need to teach it or intervene. It's not a competitive sport! There are dangers to it!
@NUNYA4086 жыл бұрын
Because some children aren’t curious enough to walk on their own and need an extra push. No one wants to have to carry a 2 year old
@kaladwarakanath55036 жыл бұрын
@@NUNYA408 It's not curiosity that makes a child walk. All babies are programmed to walk. Have you ever seen a five year old crawl and not walk? If you have, it's not for lack of curiosity or interest, but most likely out of some health concern the child might have.

Kala Dwarakanath my daughter had meningitis at a month old. We’ve had to “teach” her all kinds of things. She didn’t roll until she was almost 7 months old, did crawl until 10 months old, and JUST started pulling to stand at 13 months old. We’ve had to work with her extensively on physical milestone, PT included. I am very thankful to have found this video. Sometimes it’s not as simple as “they’ll just do it”.

Try to make your baby lean slightly forwards, that will help your baby moving. But remember to hold on to your baby, so your baby will not fall. If it does not help, try to practise some of our our standing exercises first.

I know this video is old but I’m trying to teach my 10 month old to walk so I tried this like the video said but it was like cutting off his circulation and making his arms and hands turn purple and red so I stopped. Why is it doing that at I not doing it the right way?
@BabyExercises6 жыл бұрын
Hey Bailey, You are definitely doing something wrong. You are not supposed to lift your baby. Let your baby lean forward into the towel, that should support him enough to walk forwards.

How do you make your baby not walk on their tipy toes
@BabyExercises5 жыл бұрын
Hey Thank you for your question. 1. It is important that your baby is able to stand on its own (holding on to something) before doing this exercise. You can download our app if you exercises on how to get your baby to stand on its own. 2. You should't lift your baby with the towel, the towel is more of a support so your baby do not fall forwards. 3. To find more exercises on walking, download our the app.
