Mikrokosmos is actually one of the songs that they wrote specifically for the fans! The lyrics are really beautiful and I recommend looking them up. It was inspired by looking out at the crowd during concerts and how the Army Bombs made it look like a night sky and how each light is a person with their own life and story. It is super emotional and incredible!!

For the home performance: They just had them do multiple takes and then stitched them together with the power of post production^^ You can actually see two different takes when you look how jimin moves his head the first time he sees tae and himself in the mirror together. His reflection doesnt move his head that way cuz its from a different take.

The Idol and Mikrokosmos stages were both at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, those weren't sets, BTS managed to get one of the old royal palaces of Korea for their performances, which just blows my mind every time I think about it (And yeah I highly recommend looking through Mikrokosmos' lyrics, they made me straight up sob the first time I read them)

Black Swan is just so beautiful and majestic, and my Jiminie really gets to show off his contemporary dance skills alot during this song and just seeing him dance gracefully like a swan 🦢 makes me smile and makes me so proud of him. Also props to the stylists as they always know what style goes well with the lads for every song and also props to the set designers as i love the set as they are always beautiful as well

The place where BTS filmed Idol and mikrokosmos is called gyeongbokgung it's a highly riched Korean palace, you were right it's so beautiful, and they wore the traditional Korean dress hanbok in their Idol choreography which was in fully black where jk killed and through that V-shaped hanbok jungkookie killed all of us 🥵 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼💜💜💜💜💜

Tbf I didn't look at the acapella Dynamite performance as them being tired, but more them feeling awkward? I know Jungkook has stated before he doesn't do as well when he's filming things solo. So I read the tension~ as them not having each other to play off of! But they were probably also super tired lol

yeah, this promotion period has had to have been super draining for them so I really don't blame them for being exhausted. On top of album preparations, they're doing interviews for weeks on end, shooting all over the place, rehearsing old songs for BTS week. This is kinda the tail end of Dynamite's promos(hopefully for their sake) so I hope they can at least rest a little before hurling themselves into their most anticipated album yet

They did a commencement speech that was incredibly moving and performed three songs and the vibe is very similar to how they filmed these performances. And if you have not watched Bangbangcon, you really should!! I doubt a reaction would be possible, but it is excellent and would be great prep for the Map of the Soul One concerts this coming weekend.

the power BTS week radiated is astronomical. Idol right after dynamite, the song that was the biggest, classiest fuck you to ppl who said BTS were getting westernized, performed at the biggest palace in Korea, the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeongbokgung Palace and turning it purple and THEN performing Mikrokosmos at the royal pavilion of the Gyeongbokgung palace, Gyeonghoeru with an army drone lightshow... I'll cherish this week for a lifetime.

The performances were filmed in Korea! The constumes for IDOL are a mix of Korean traditional clothes called Hanbok and the setting of both IDOL and mikrokosmos are taken place at a traditional Korean palace 😊

I think they were awkward during Dynamite with the roots because they're not good at lip synching in Korean let alone English so it was probably especially challenging to do. I would assume they're probably most familiar with the lyrics for their own part of the song but they put together a mix of them lip synching to different parts of the song so it's extra awkward

Dynamite: Same theory...since they're wearing the same clothes in the first performance (a cappella with The Roots) as they did the last performance at the roller rink, so maybe they were tired from roller skating? You missed V falling in the background. Idol: Jimin is the growler...you should check out the BTS growl appreciation vid. Poor Tae and J-Hope actually did fall towards the beginning of the skating segment. You can see them both in the background in the first scene where they aren't in a line together. JK sort of caught Tae, but he looked like he still hit pretty hard. J-Hope was on Weverse, talking to ARMY the other night and they asked if he was okay after skating. He said no. :(

I would attribute the lesser energy of the Roots version to either 1) different time zones in filming, because i don't think they came to NYC to film or 2) having to stay relatively still for a close-up camera- usually they do choreo but even when a song doesn't have choreo they still move around a lot.

I love this song so much as it always makes me want to sing along and dance along too. This song is defo my top summer song that just makes me happy when i hear it, also Kookie looks like a baby lol and all the lads look swaggy and handsome and can rock any style they wear. But my fav bit was my Jiminies solo bit as that always makes me feel happy and smile and he is my ultimate kpop bias. Also the dance is so catchy and easy to learn as i now know the song and dance of by heart and on a side note i love the retro style of the set props to the stylists and set designers again. The ending made me laugh as i wasnt expecting them to actually roller skate but it made me smile seeing them having fun
