It's not that Mars doesn't want to be human. The Mars people do not want to be ruled by Earth anymore, they want to have their own government.

No boom today ;) Oh, yes the captain had a "piercing" attitude ;) Oh, yes, Draal found a new purpose in life. When is the right time? We shall see, if and when that is. Londo's feet did a little tappy and he is looking at new shoes. Not in the way he talking about before perhaps, but.... I guess it's a bit harder than riding a bike if one forgets how to land. A mutually necessary secret guarded by a UN like station in neutral territory. If you love someone, don't wait to tell them.

0:45 I think this is the only time I've heard them refer to "starships" on Babylon 5. That is more a Trek term.

I would like to think that the remake will focus a bit more on this planet and its backstory, the original series had to cut a lot of stuff due to production issues and actor departures. That being said, the planet will be visited and used for its purpose again

JMS has said that he is not going to do a remake, but a re-imagining, something like "what would he create with is current writing experience and current technology. So not the same story all over again. I am excited to see what he can do it it gets the green light.

@@BabylonLurker If he did it with an entirely different name, I'd be happy! What I hate about reboots is you get in to this weird disambiguation, like if I want to talk about Batman, I have to try and describe exactly which continuity I'm trying to talk about. I get wanting to do a new show like B5, and I think a lot of very interesting points could be raised about a PsiCorps-like institution in particular, but I don't want to have to try and decribe which B5 I'm talking about, especially since you automatically run in to comparisons

Running up the climax of season 1. It burned slowly but steadily. And now we are getting to the point where the show gets its grip on you and you can't wait another week for the next episode. Luckily, there is binge-watching nowadays.

Trivia: It was established in Babylon 5 lore that Minbari had no hair, how are the actor who played Drall refused to shave his beard for the part. Because they wanted him on the show they changed the official Minbari lore to males being able to grow beards.

The actor did an excellent job, so I can't blame them for adjusting the lore 😄
