One thing I love about this series is the way that Zack gets pulled in to Nightwatch. He doesn't look in to them too deeply, just thinks it's free money, and then incrementally they chip away at his resistances, slowly trying to make him more of an accomplice. Not enough shows have protagonists where they are compromised.

agreed. They don't need to be full-on antihero. but just being a normal human with flaws who makes mistakes with consequences makes them every so much more plausible than a dudley-do-right who never manages to step in it along the way.

That was the episode Infection, when Garibaldi is walking and talking with Mary Ann Cramer from ISN; the episode introduces organic tech and how Earth weapons division would REALLY like to get their hands on some organic weaponry. There are no coincidences.

The shot of the 'Agamemnon' over Jupiter mirrors the shot of the 'Leonov' over Jupiter in the movie '2010' (1984). The Earth Alliance Omega Destroyer like the 'Agamemnon', was obviously inspired by the 'Leonov'. As we have already seen with Alfred Bester being the writer who originally came up with the concept of a PSI Cop, J. Michael Straczynski doesn't hide where some inspirations came from. The shot of the 'Agamemnon' over Jupiter is a direct hint where the inspiration for the ship came from. If Morden had merged with a Shadow and they had some way to communicate with each other over large distances, they wouldn't need to send Shadows with Morden and Delenn said 'he is never alone'.

Something that's just occurred to me is that when the White Star fires a focussed burst, it does the same damage to the Shadow Ship as the combined power of 3 Narn Heavy Cruisers at Gorash VII

I'm under the impression that a White Star is, offensively, as powerful as a Sharlin cruiser. Probably faster and tougher, and certainly more maneuverable and smaller. And, back to the damage part ofthe equation, a Sharlin is usually considered to be able to take on three cruisers from the other three races - Earth, centauri and narn. It stands to reason that a WS would do a similar amount of damage as three G'Quans.

I believe Mars and the colonies had representatives but the majority population was on Earth. Mars still was living under expensive domes but paying out the same kind of taxes as Earth before expenses. Like Marcus mentioned his home mining colony sent a third of their income to Earth along with most of the ore. In return they got access to vids, ISN and as a small colony likely lacked a single rep. Colonies were largely on their own like the states were in the late 1700's and expected to pay for the British debts and forced to use them for middle men. Goods like sugar or rum from the Caribbean had to go through England first. The Tea, Stamp and Townson Acts were just sales taxes of 3 to 4% but Shipping to Europe and back rose prices big time. Small colonies had little if any say when they lacked the numbers needed.

Strikes terror into the hearts of everyone who sees them, they scream in your head when flying by, look like a monster and suck the life out of you like one as well...such a chilling scene, the flashback of the doctor.

Once Michael O'Hare left because of drug induced schizophrenia, the Deleen x Sinclair marriage was dropped. For a later plot point, Catherine Sakai was replaced with Anna Sheridan. Which I am fine with, I liked Catherine Sakai, and did not want to see a nuke dropped on her after being hollowed out as meat substrate for bioweapons.

This is a pretty good episode for sure. Season 3 and 4 are the best. ( NO SPOILERS - DON'T WORRY) Season 5 is only slower because they were forced into shortening the timeline on stuff because it was possible season 5 was going to be canceled. So they had to squeeze stuff into season 3 and 4 that should have been spread out more. Thus when they actually got season 5 they were forced to come up with some new story lines to cover what was squeezed into season 3 and 4. That's not any kind of spoiler just a reason why season 5 is a bit different from a lot of what came before. Despite season 5 being a bit slower with some new story lines it is decent as well just didn't have as much time to develop is all. PLEASE consult the official JMS watch order so you can watch a couple of MOVIES that were made and watch them in JMS's official watch order. They happen at the end of season 4 and beginning of season 5. Think of them as 2 hour episodes and they are really good as well.

They are talking about the Minbari rebirth ceremony from Parliament of Dreams in season 1. Catherine told Sinclair it can double as a marriage ceremony (the primary meaning is about a great change). "Depending on how serious anyone takes it,. someone got married"
