You two always present such enjoyable reactions. A real pleasure. FYI: For all intent purposes Babymetal has never done anything for anime. Tim does not change clothes anywhere near as fast as he plays. This live collab (originally recorded by the guys and gals back, I believe in 2019) was two performances over the two days of the Fox Fest Festival hosted by Babymetal. Which were the first times they'd ever gotten to play it live together.

I've watched this about 30 times and until your comment I didn't even notice his clothing change. I've been too focused on coveting his guitar. ;)

Tim has said: this turned out to sound a lot like a Polyphia song with Japanese vocals. I think of this always as a great compliment, because that means Babymetal was able to extract the essence of a band and make a song based on that style or genre and then put their own twist on it/influence into it.

Good reaction. The song is almost 5 years old - it was on BABYMETAL's 3rd album Metal Galaxy released in 2019. It is certainly one of BABYMETAL's more mellow songs ... but BABYMETAL can do everything. That's one reason their collaborations all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. Tim Henson and Scott LePage recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. Fox_Fest in Tokyo in May (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL) was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance (actually the first two, you were right they used both for this video) with them all together.🎸🦊🎸 If you want to see BABYMETAL being more "metal" than most metal bands try 'BABYMETAL Death' live at Legend 1997 (December 2013, see how Su-metal celebrated her 16th birthday).

Thanks and good morning from Japan 有難う💛。 "Brand New Day" is a good to start your day refreshingly. I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times in the two-day Fox_Fest). What a bliss!! Soothing and exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. In addition, classy incorporation by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total + bass / drum) ❤ Various elements created by 3 beautiful performers and 6 instrumentalists with virtuosity were mixed and sublimed into one beauty by means of something like alchemy. The actual applause at the end of the song was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video. They did it together again in Belgian festival on June 20.

Welcome back to the Foxhole and now going back to Metal Galaxy era.🦊🤘🌅 Either Legend M 2019 MoaMetal's 20th birthday or Legend MM 2024 MomoMetal's 21 birthday are heavily blocked, but since yesterday was MoaMetal's birthday (25) that would be the most accurate version for a reaction, but if you didn't then happy belated birthday🥳🎂💖🐨 Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprises, you're gonna find more songs like this with more mature sound, it came out in 2019 so isn't so new. The album version got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson (short hair on the right) and Scott LePage (long hair on the left), and it's quite clear in the solo section. Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie helped him out in an unorthodox way to save the show, very funny clip. Their songs are mainly instrumental but i think they got some collabs with famous singers but don't quote that on me, what is for sure they got mad skills playing instruments. Tim Henson said when listening to this song that he would love to play this along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't know the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song. The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc. Song is inspired by certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly. Finally we got them together on stage and with this awesome live performance, it is their first time performing together. They did it again at Graspop Festival in Belgium and they hug each other at the end just like in this version only thing it was cut out, there's also a proshot clip but I'm not so sure about the sound mix. Last weekend they finished the Europe Tour and they did it along with EC playing their collab song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain. Along with RATATATA this was definitely one of the highlights at FOX_FEST and a lot of Japanese fans were looking for, I guess that cool slow pace city pop element gives some nostalgia and that's why many fans love it. In a recent interview, Tim and Scott talked about a new song in their upcoming album along with BM, let's see what they got but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something real good like this one. In a more recent interview BM said that they would love to collab along with Fall Out Boy, can you imagine?👀 Next suggestion: - *Megitsune* official MV. Btw the Demon Slayer opening singer is LiSA, and the Metalverse singer played that song cover at FOX_FEST too. Oh I forgot, Slipknot just announced the line up for Knotfest in October and BM will be there, yey!🥳 Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

I love your honest reactions, and how you are giving BABYMETAL a chance to show their many sides. You may now realize that BABYMETAL has a HUGE Comfort zone, so performs beautifully in many different settings and genres. Interesting that both BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy started in 2010 and their basic concept is, "Metal need not always be angry". Look forward to seeing more of your reactions to BABYMETAL - subscribed!

Good one, really awesome chill song. Sorry Momo’s bday special of Headbanger got blocked, that one is a tough one, but an epic one for sure. If you want darker Babymetal: *BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997)* *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014)* No chocolate in sight with these 2. 🤘🦊

Seconding these recs. Too bad you've already done Headbanger, because it was part of an incredible finale to the Legend 1997 show which I often recommend to reactors. You could definitely still do the last two songs from that show though - Akatsuki (Unfinished version) and Babymetal Death, as suggested above. I would even recommend recording them back-to-back because of how they work together. Here are links to good-quality uploads of them: Akatsuki unfinished kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y37LZqGoja6qbNU BMD kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3LZhauOjdp1n5Y Subs on, and have fun!

Great reaction, y'all! The most "angry" Babymetal song I can think of would be Sis Anger. It is a duet by Moametal and Yuimetal. They go by the name Black Babymetal when they sing without Su-metal. Give it a try.

Sis Anger is awesome, but sadly there are only bad compilation videos of it on youtube because of copyright blocking. Dave did mention Kingslayer at the end, which is also a pretty angry song that BM is in, so maybe they'll check that out.

Brand New Day / BABYMETAL Lyrics : MK-METAL(Miki Watanabe), Music Composed & Arrangement : MEGMETAL(MEG), Produced by KOBA METAL (Kei Kobayashi) The guitar solo part of this song was performed by two members of Polyphia (Tim Henson and Scott LePag) in collaboration with BABYMETAL on their third album "Metal Galaxy"(2019).

Great reaction!! Brand New Day is definitely a vibe... inspired by the Jpop genre of "City Pop ", which seems to mesh really well with the guitars of the Polyphia gents. It is one of my low key BABYMETAL favourites. Speaking of LiSA and Gurenge, perhaps you should check out her performance of it on the First Take channel... phenomenal!! Thank you for the reaction. 🦊🤘🔥

⚡ 🍑 💕 / 🌅 Asu ga mata kuru kara. (Tomorrow will come, after all) - The footage is from BABYMETAL's FOX_FEST, held at Saitama Super Arena on May 25th and May 26th, 2024. Polyphia performed a set earlier that evening, and later Tim and Scott joined BABYMETAL during their set for this song.

The closest thing Babymetal has done with anime is Karen Girl's; the group Su-metal was in before Babymetal. Karen Girl's was formed to sing the songs for a children's anime Zettai Karen Children, and when the anime finished production Karen Girl's disbanded. Babymetal did cover one song from the show, Over the Future.

👍 👍 Easily one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs. Yes Tim and Scott's instrumentals are a driving force here but for me it is Suzuka's stunning vocal performance and Moa and Momo's beautiful backing vocals that seal it. Suzuka once again proves that (in my opinion) she is the most versatile and talented female singer today. She just loves to sing and it shows.

This is an old song but this was the first time they were able to perform it together live. Originally Tim and Scott collaborated with the BM songwriters and wrote the guitar parts but then the coof hit and touring basically ceased for years. Good eye noticing the costume changes, this was filmed at FOX_FEST and they performed it on two separate nights. The video mixes some footage from both of the shows.

I highly recommend the family prank channel Kristen Hanby and the angry metal song Burn by nine inch nails and the remixed version "Burn (You Stupid B1tch)".Two couples on Kristen Hanby have been increasingly messing with each other! Your whipping each other with towels and the like but far more wild and insane!
