Glad to see people give these girls a chance, because they deserved it. Babymetal literally open the gate for metal music in Japan, their success both nationally and internationally paved the way for other Japanese Metal bands to gain attention and a place in the music industry, which is why many metal bands emerged after Babymetal, including Hanabie, Lovebites, Nemophila, etc.

3:35 Reaction start Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal journey 🦊🤘🔥 Glad to see you're back to enjoy more BM songs. They were rocking out the whole World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone were having a blast with the setlist, the new songs from latest album and the classic hits, especially GC! either you hate or love it, is a song with crazy amount of views and they don't wanna leave behind in any of their setlist just like they did today and yesterday at FOX_FEST Festival. Dance choreography and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythms, you'll have so much fun going through this journey. This isn't actually live sound, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track sound. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance but they're not official members, only these trio are the front women. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday, the other girls had 14 yo and there was a big party you have seen nothing yet, wait for _"Babymetal Death"._ The backing band here are called "baby-bones", they don't actually play they're just mimicking air playing instrument, later on this same concert and after 2014 you'll see the girls performing with a real band called the Kami Band, more of them later. Not only they got a wide range in musical style but also when dancing, but if you wanna see a clear Para Para Dancing choreo you got songs such Iine! official MV (take note isn't Line, is iine with a capital i) Some recommendations for next songs like: - _"Road Of Resistance"_ live in Japan official. - _Megitsune_ official MV. - _Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!_ live at this same live performance Legend 1997 in Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form (you can find one at Gans Tomas channel under "Head Bangya" title). You have more than 60 songs to discover. Amuse their label is very hard to deal so if you want to avoid copyright blocked you have "Babymetal Reactor Resource" channel you'll get full original clips of their best live performance with watermarked logo safe to react, look for "Future Plans" vid, follow instructions and you'll get all of them, upload the one with the logo for us and you can watch without it, don't worry for us we already saw all of them. I'm gonna try to leave in my next comment where to get safe clips to react if YT allows me to do it. See you next time! 🦊🤘🍫

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions: - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn-pmneNf81lfKM - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOWaGV5arV9gq8 - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/moaWaXaPoNV1rKs - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKjWmqGjrbmrmNE - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIPGapeYnM51hqs - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJibhpKgZcyjgqs - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/boildZyCgrONmac - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday). kzbin.info/www/bejne/eITNp2yFjtmKkJI - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5uQhoR_odamf7M If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4TdimyagZtkabM - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5W3YqytjrdoidE - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6Smp4yMg8p3Ztk - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyyfWmsaLKXaMU - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official live MV, be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIWoioh8nLGpm7ssi=BsVOSExS25Qndy1H - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2mpfKijq81grZo Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo. - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpiTg6yimMxrfJI This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2WTh6CKfbibasU And here's a BM guide (the long one). kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3rFY6t7qc2Xicksi=EnEYU4nN3tuiY3WL There's a beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... I'll be honest, I am a huge BABYMETAL fan and listen to them LITERALLY daily, BUT it took at least a couple years for me to love this song! I eventually watched the video of Gimme Chocolate at Sonisphere Festival UK 2014 and loved that version. I realized that it was Yui and Moa's "atatata" parts in this particular video that you are watching were too high pitched for my brain, because in the Sonisphere video, their parts are lower in the mix. Then as the girls got older the song sounded better to me! LOL🤘🦊🤘

Hi guys, sorry I'm a little late to the reaction, but it's my first time on this channel. I want to point something out. Babymetal, while IS mostly happy metal, they DO also the sad and more serious songs. For Dave, I'd recommend Rondo of Nightmare, Akatsuki Unfinished, maybe Monochrome Live at Pia Arena. For her pretty much anything and everything would probably be fair game, but I have a feeling she'd REALLY like Doki Doki Morning. I'd even recommend the oldest version you can find as they were super young and super cute/kawaii back then. To answer your age question, Su-Metal, who is the main vocalist had just turned 16 the day before of this concert. The 2 dancers, Yuimetal and Moametal (Yui is the one with the chubby baby cheeks while Moa is the one with the dimples when she smiles) were only 14 at the time of this concert. Su was born in 1997 and the two dancers were both born in 1999. Yuimetal sadly left at the end of 2017 beginning of 2018 due to health reasons and was eventually recently replaced by Momometal, whom as you mentioned is the youngest of the group. She is the tallest and looks "bigger" than the other two girls. Not saying she's fat, just if anything that she's more of a "normal" size while Su and Moa are SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER tiny and skinny (likely from all the years of being in Babymetal and all that dancing and running around while performing! lol). If my Ukrainian grandparents ever met them they would have a field day feeding these girls to fatten them up since my grandparents would declare they are WAY too skinny! lol Moa would be in heaven (she's a MAJOR foodie and will use every opportunity to let everybody know it in every interview she's ever done lol).

BABYMETAL is the most unique metal experience in the world right now coming from Japan 🇯🇵. Not only their appearances, their style, and everything that surrounds them visually but they’re an incredible band as well supporting them and they’re so passionate about metal but music in general they know everything about the metal music discography and they’ve created a very special feeling, and experience within the entire metal community. They work extremely hard to create something unique for every community ranging from the young to old. Babymetal may not be everyone's metier but if you don't like fine. Babymetal paves the way for other Japanese 🇯🇵 bands to be recognized worldwide. You may not like them but respect them. I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction. BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) in Japan from when a child. The agency they work for is the largest listed entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress. And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician.This is because it is extremely rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance like an actress and a high singing ability. We can see many videos of her singing song since when elementary school on KZbin. BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old). Now she is often selected as one of the top rock singers in the world by famous music magazines in the United Kingdom and is called 'Queen' in the metal fandam. When Babymetal song is voted in popularity by Japanese, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place.😀

Since Ash likes DnB, I recommend checking out "Divine Attack" off of Babymetal's latest album, The Other One. It's been described as symphonic drum'n'bass metal. Su-Metal wrote the lyrics for that one. Some other songs from the same album might also appeal to her: Time Wave and Light and Darkness are lighter and more electronic influenced. Monochrome starts off heavy but is more of a groovy hard rock ballad. Metalizm is Arabian psytrance metal. Their older music is pretty varied too, from really heavy stuff to folk, speed, and power metal.

Haha great reaction guys! Just like Electric Callboy, Babymetal does have many “serious” and more somber songs along with the fun and goofy. Also, this was lead’s Su-metal 16th birthday show, and Yui/Moa were 14. They started in 2010 at the age of 12/11. Yui left in 2018 due to health, and Momoko took over as the 3rd member and became official in Apr 2023. *Suggestions for “The Serious”:* *Monochrome (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* Emotional, melodic, and at times heavy mid-tempo rocker. *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014):* Band showcase, Su-metal solo, dark and ominous. *Divine Attack (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* Epic anthem. *BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997):* Closer to the same show as Gimme Chocolate. 0% cute, 100% brutal. *For the “Bubbly Funsies”:* *iine (Official MV):* “WTF?!” *Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997):* Su takes a break, Yui/Moa teaches young girls how to be spoiled brats to get Dad to buy them all the things. Limp Bizkit, but cute. *Catch Me If You Can (Budokan 2014):* Heaviest song about hide and seek. Slipknot, but adorable. *Awadama Fever (Fox Festivals 2017):* Gimme Choco Mk.2, but about bubble gum. Band says hi. *In between:* *Road of Resistance (Official Live):* This is probably the most amazing performance of this epic power metal battle anthem. Dragonforce collab. *Megitsune (Pia Arena MM, 2023):* Serious yet still fun, and heavy. Look forward to more Babymetal! 🤘🦊

So unique and unlike anything else out there. I can recommend a lot of great songs but will let you guys just organically find them in time. But here are some good starters. 'Megitsune' & 'Pa Pa Ya'. Although most fans will tell you that BM is better heard live than studio which I agree, these two songs are great with their original official video. Also, consider reacting to the Official LIVE version of 'Ijeme, dame, zettai' at Sonisphere UK in 2014. Babymetal songs more times than not have social commentary. Like Gimme Chocolate for example. In Japan, on Valentine's Day girls are expected to give away chocolate to all the boys and men they know. It's called giri choco, obligation chocolate. In Gimi Chocolate, they aren't giving the chocolate away, their keeping it. And the lyrics speak about body image and how society forces girls to be thin. So they are angsty in their way, But instead of angry, they are being themselves and to heck with what society says. That's pretty metal.

Indeed one of the members left officially in 2018-2019 due to health reasons and later she decided to pursue other goals. They began at early ages as aspirants in casting contests and later trainees signed in an agency. The older debuted debuted early in a children idol group named Karen Girls in 2008-2009. Later moved to Sakura Gakuin a group which is formed by girls in their 10-15 years old and serves as a talent repository for their agency. Babymetal was formed as a subunit of that group with three of its members and later became an spinoff completely independent from that group.

Nice reaction. The early years. With Yui. Babymetal fans will forever be grateful for her contributions. She had stopped performing with them in 2017 and in 2018 officially left Babymetal for health reasons. Lots of speculations but no one and I mean NO ONE knows what the health issue was and for all we know still is. Su and Moa think of her as family. As far as killung folks. No never did that but they have sacrificed the lead singer. Checkout Babymetal Death from legend 1997. Their first album came out in 2014 but they were together from 2010. Took 4 years for them to prove to the record company that they built the fan base for it. Back then you could have seen them for free in the mall. That ain't happening any time soon again. Momoko joined last year and has been a fantastic addition to the group. If you want to see their crazy talented and skilled stage band called the Kamiband. Look for song with kamiband intro. They don't do the intros on the albums. Another reason why live Babymetal is great Babymetal. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises

Maybe you should look at "Headbanger" by them Dave (the older version). Nightwish has a song that is basically a musical suicide called "The Poet and the Pendulum" - that's pretty dark. Oh, and their angry song which was never played live was "Master, Passion, Greed". Nightwish doesn't use profanity in songs - except in that one where the F-bomb was dropped.

Important to note that BM also does sad and melancholic. Even sometimes what you could call "angry". It's not always Happy go lucky. They've shown they have much more depth than that so I'm sure if you give them more chances Dave you'll find a few songs that will really connect with you! Happy to share that journey of discovery with you both! I highly recommend Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of the Metal Gods intro for your next try. You'll find the melancholy, sad vibes. One thing that is true though is BM's message is almost always with an optimistic, positive angle. So sad sure, but positive sad. Kind of a "pick you up" vibe to their sad and angry and mad. That's really what differentiates them from most metal bands. Not so much that they're often "happy go luck" but more about the "positive" angle that they always try to convey.

BABYMETAL has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (along with suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" or simply "The Yui Era": Doki Doki Morning (official music video) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZrVmYRunrGXmNksi=k84SUx4P01t9M5ic Iine! If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest: "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" kzbin.info/aero/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014) kzbin.info/aero/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘

other japanese female rock band songs and videos that kick butt - bandmaid - "thrill" gacharic spin - "never say never" shonen knife - "it's a new find" (there's just something about this song and video i really like. the band just seems to be having so much fun!) weird, bizzarre and funny japanese music videos THAT ARE FUN AS HELL! lady baby - "nippon manju" - much like baby metal they mix heavy metal with super pop! AND THE VIDEO IS WILD! pamyu, kyary pamyu - 'ponponpon" - one of the strangest videos i ever saw. the music is super-pop but the video is so bizarre i like it anyway. world order - "have a nice day" - an all male synchronized dance group. i think they play the music too. but who knows. all these videos are must see as far as i'm concerned. thanks for video!

They also have sad songs, like akatsuki unfinished, or emotional songs like 'the one'. Gimme chocolate is really one of their popy like songs, but it's not their main style, especially in recents album. They have really grown...

The name Babymetal it's a reference to the birth of a new genre of metal, the kawaii metal, not a reference to their ages.
@adamyoung91328 ай бұрын
BabyMetal refers to a new type of metal. It didn't have to do with their age.
@autohmae8 ай бұрын
officially the name of Babymetal never referred to their ages, it's 'the birth of a new style of metal' and also it's a good pun in Japanese, hebimetal and bebimetal are written and said in almost the same way

If it hasn't been answered, the girls were 14 (Moa, Yui) and 16 (Su), when the first album released in 2014, and around that age in this video, but they were closer to 10/12 when the band was first formed out of Sakura Gakuin in 2010. Yui left the band in 2018 and was ultimately replaced with the new permanent member, Momo, last year. This was their debut performance at the Sakura Gakuin Festival in 2010. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eV7VZZWXn9qob7s

Her smile while watching BABYMETAL is everything. The metal world was in decline due to impatient old men who were pushing young girls away. BABYMETAL are the saviors who came to Earth with the purpose of reviving metal. Comparing BABYMETAL to other bands is very silly because no group has the same style as them. They have gained many fans with their musical style that is not bound by genre. To understand their music, you need to not only enjoy the sound, but also know the content of the lyrics. Some lyrics have almost no meaning. If you are active as a reactor on KZbin, you probably care about the number of views for each video, but BABYMETAL is one of the groups that can get a lot of views. However, streamers themselves must show respect to each artist. We hope you enjoy BABYMETAL's songs even more.

Thanks doing this reaction, I agree with a lot of other comments, maybe this song isn't the right for you. Babymetal has a huge rage of songs/styles they do. It will surprise you. I would actually recommend a live version of a couple of songs: Road of Resistance Live in Japan Babymetal Rondo of Nightmare Budokan Black Night 2014 with the Kami intro (a 7 minute video) BABYMETAL // BxMxC

I think Dave is afraid that if he admits he likes Babymetal he'll lose his man card. I love the aggressive sound of metal but am not really into the growling vocals or dark, angry lyrics. So Babymetal's combining the metal sound with poppy, positive lyrics works great for me. Plus, their live shows in Japan are amazing.

Yep. Some people are worried they might not seem manly if they like this kind of stuff but that’s very pathetic 😂 not saying that’s his case cuz he might not like the vocals which i know I didn’t like at first but i got used to it. It reminds me of teen titans cartoon with the amazing theme song.

She has the big dopey BabyMetal smile, she is doomed. We all have that smile, that is common. BTW, I saw Hanabie last week. The show was lit. :P The reaction was a good contrast of preferences also. I was the guy on the left and became the girl on the right, I was remolded by the girls. The guy was smart spotting the member change, Yui left in 2018 for health issues and was replace by a younger member, Momo. You are a good couple that balances each other.

The essence of Babymetal is taking metal and making it happy and fluffy and frivolous. They don't call it "kawaii metal" (cute metal) for nothing. It's one of those things that either works for you or it doesn't, and it seems like you guys are at either end of the scale.

I think Dave would enjoy some of the songs on the latest album, The Other One. They are heavy AF and not kawaii. And of course some darker songs from the older albums like the live performances of Rondo of Nightmare, Kagerou, Distortion (Download UK 2018), and BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997). Maybe "Sis Anger (Live at Tokyo Dome)" since it's SO HEAVY.🤘🦊🤘

The Kami band makes Babymetal what they are. Some of the best musicians Japan has to offer.
@marcmacinnis66108 ай бұрын
eh, the kami band backs Metalverse too... and the currentl kami band is western, I get your point, but I'm going to respectfully disagree and say Su makes Babymetal. (I adore Moa, and Momo, but without Su, it's not Babymetal.)
@papeh018 ай бұрын
The kami band are very talented musicians, I admire and respect them a lot but I don't agree with you. Babymetal was already filling stadiums before being accompanied by the Kami Band, even in this video the Kami band is not present.
@millerbeer017 ай бұрын
@@papeh01I have no gripe with anything you've said as it's correct. However, and I could be wrong, the original concept was to keep these insane musicians nameless and faceless for the duration, but somewhere, their management saw the bands potential and gave them more of a role (which was the correct course). Just keep in mind, even if they were considered just session musicians, they did create this musical force. 🤘🏼

Yui left and Momo has finally replaced her. They started when Moa and Yui were 10 and Su was 12 in 2010, Before that Su was in the Karen girls,, an idol band doing music for a popular amimia which ended when she was 10 and at the last show they did the producer who had the idea for BM Koba-metal decided then that she had the vocal power and stage presence to front a full metal band, Sam and Herman from Dragonforce wrote the Guitar parts to Road of Resistance, they have played this and road of resistance with dragonforce at download as a guest onstage at Download 2015 when Download said they would never book a Japanese flash in the pan, 2016 Download booked them and on a typical wet british festival weekend Su had 45000 singing for her just like she did to 60000 plus at Sonishire in 2014 when they got moved from a side stage to the main stage when Gimme Chocolate went viral. One of my favourite performances is Painkiller and Breaking the Law with Rob Halford, not the best performance but they are just rocking out with a metal god who had just said they were the future of metal and they have done stuff with loads of people, check BMTH kingslayer live in Tokyo, Road of Resistance live in Japan 2015 and Monochrome PIA 2023. Have fun and go well.🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊

Yui and Moa didn't transfer in to Sakura Gakuin, or join BABYMETAL until August 2010, when they were 11 years old. I think Karen Girl's was more of a J-pop group than an idol band, but at any rate, Suzuka was 11 years old at their final show (Mission Accomplished Special Event at Shibuya Boxx) on March 14th, 2009.

It is normal that BABYMETAL suits you more in a more "pop" part, since it is the type of voice and performance that is usually used for it.
