The language is Japanese. BABYMETAL set out to fuse Metal with J-Pop, creating their own genre called Kawaii (=cute) Metal. Their goal was to bring Metal to people outside the usual target demography, and I think they succeeded. I have been a metalhead since forever, but I have never loved a band that much. They are just so much fun! To have those uplifting smiles in Metal is awesome! They splintered off an idol group called Sakura Gakuin, and this was their very first song. It’s noticeably closer to their J-Pop roots than most of their other songs. They cover a wide range between Metal and Pop, and every single song is great, and no two songs sound alike. I second the suggestion to check out Gimme Chocolate, it’s another pretty cute (but also heavy) song, and their most popular. If you need proof that they are a serious band, you might also want to check out a live performance. They are fantastic on stage!

Thank you for letting us know it was Japanese, I was not sure. The song was fun and the girls enjoyed it. We are for sure going to check out more of their stuff. Thank you so much for the support.

Welcome to the world of BABYMETAL. As has been said, they are Japanese. From the little I've seen of it Korean music tends to be more of a copy of or based on American music and styles, the Japanese are far more inventive and original and BABYMETAL is pretty much unique, although others have tried to follow their lead but none have come close so far. This song was recorded in 2010 when the girls (Su, Yui and Moa) were aged 12, 11 and 11 and it was their very first song. The video was recorded and released in 2011 after the lead singer's 13th birthday and released when they were 13, 12 and 12. The whole concept was based around Su because of her vocal talents and stage presence (even at that age) with Yui and Moa (also good singers and talented dancers) supporting her. MacTaipan has already explained their premise and, speaking as another rock fan and metalhead of several decades who has seen bands like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Megadeth, Metal Church and countless others live, I agree with every word he said about BABYMETAL. They are approaching their 10th anniversary later this year. Yui sadly left the band in October 2018 for health reasons (she had not been on stage for 12 months before her announcement) so Su and Moa have continued as a duo but are now supported in live shows by any one of 3 dancers who rotate to take the third spot in turns. Every song they do is different, some very much metal (of all sorts including thrash, black, death, folk, ptog etc) others leaning more to their pop roots and everything in between with other musical styles and genres mixed in, but not one bad song among them. Their latest album was the first by any Asian band ever to reach number 1 in the Billboard Hard Rock charts. I think your daughters might enjoy a more recent song 'Pa Pa Ya' which features some guest vocals by someone called F Hero from Thailand that may surprise you. Jinjer are from Ukraine and are very talented, not least their singer Tatiana - as you already knew and your daughters saw for themselves. Stay safe, stay metal.

doki-doki (Japanese: ドキドキ, Hepburn: Dokidoki) is a term for the sound of a beating heart in Japanese sound symbolism. It’s used for when you can hear your heartbeat i.e. a stressful situation.
@rickwagner-4 жыл бұрын
⚡ 💀 💕 / 💓 ⏰ "Doki Doki" is supposed to be like the sound of an excited heartbeat. This was their first single, music video, etc. It was this video blowing up on social media that helped BABYMETAL start to go viral, especially outside of Japan. The 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' DVD single was released October 2011. Suzuka was thirteen, Yui and Moa were twelve. Pretty much everything that followed was because this video unexpectedly blew up. This song covers all of those traditional Heavy Metal tropes, like waking up excited for a new day at school, and deciding on your lip gloss and cute hairstyle for the day. : ) Every BABYMETAL song sounds different, but 'Karate' would be a good follow up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/faenZHZ-dplrpqM It's five years later, and the change is really interesting.

Please have the girls react to more Babymetal. I'd suggest Gimme Chocolate and Headbanger Live as Babymetal is best enjoyed live.

Thanks for the suggestions, with all of the comments we have gotten about the Babymetal and the fact that the girls enjoyed it so much there will be more reactions to them coming for sure. Thank you so much for your support we truly appreciate it.

Just checked out your new vid. Never heard or heard of Babymetal but they’re going on my playlist. So is the second group. They’re like a lighter version of Heilung. Both were great, the vids and the girls (I’m talking about you, girls.) BTW yours is the first (and only, so far) subscription I’ve had. Also, I thought of another vid you might like more than the two I mentioned earlier. I have to send this so I can get out and check the spelling so this is a two-part email.

Yeah that was my first look at them as well. I think we will do at least one more of theirs since we have had a few comments on the subject. Thanx for the support.

Thanks for doing my suggestion, they're Japanese and let me try to get you some more views :) This was the first song these girls (Babymetal) started with and now they're global. Can I suggest Gimme Chocolate next? BTW I wished you'd have put Babymetal or even Jinjer reaction in your title as it would have blown up. Anyway hope you are all well and much love from England

No problem. Thank you for the request we appreciate your support. I promise the next Babymetal reaction will have Babymetal in the title.

Okay, here’s the suggestion - Summoning the Gods, Trobar de Morte. It means something like “contacting the dead.” It’s weird so you’ll probably like it. The best to you all.

shayce gaming Here’s one you’ve heard, just not for a while. There’s a good updated vid of What About Me by Quicksilver Messenger Service. Easy to find on the net - 6:24 minutes, published Nov 15, 2014. Lawyers and doctors and college professors turned on, tuned in, and dropped out. People chose their mates by their zodiac signs. “. . . The New York Times said ‘GOD IS DEAD’ and the war’s begun. Strange days indeed.

And another idea for another episode of “Our dad is more crazy than we are.” from yer friend Gary. Everyone else has, you got to do Pisces (the fish zodiac sign) by Jinjer, the live version.
@garyrobb53414 жыл бұрын
Wait, you already did Pisces. In fact, I got it from you. Maybe I’m crazier than you are. Probably not much though. I can’t imagine what it’s like dealing with videos and kids and cats. (I got a whole herd of cats, and raccoons and ‘possums and skunks and trolls and who knows what else.) And I suppose you like to find time for normal pursuits like sleeping too. Hope you all keep well. Better than well, actually.

For above-average weirdness, google Rammstein, the cut Du Hast. They do a lot more in the same style but Du Hast is the only one on my playlist. Apart from weirdness and effects, I really like the instruments. I’ll bet that in a little while you’ll have requests to last long enough for the girls graduate- from college - with doctorates in quantum physics or something. Maybe longer.

You didn't label what band you were reacting to sooooo im actually here by accident. From the other Babymetal video you did. It said you'd reached to another Babymetal video and I couldn't see it. So I clicked on this and crossed my fingers. lol. Most reactions to Babymetal start with Gimme Chocolate, Karate, or Road of Resistance. This is the first time I've seen someone's first reaction be Doki Doki Morning. (Btw, Doki doki is Japanese for being excited or in a rush. It symbolizes the rapid beating of a heart. So English translation of the title is Rushed Morning) It's a song about being in a rush to get to school in the morning. Anyway, this is the first of your reactions I'm watching and will continue with you on your Babymetal journey. Have fun and stay safe. I'll subscribe to get notifications for Babymetal.

I know we should have put the names in the title. I am glad that you found the other video. We are planning on doing more Babymetal for sure. Thank you for the support and the sub, your a legend.
@dancingking95354 жыл бұрын
A suggestion: You should list the band/group name and the name of the song you react. Babymetal is one of the most popular groups on the internet, you'd be amazed how many fans they have.
@shaycegaming4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion. We will make sure to add the information. We appreciate you watching the videos.
@seanriley1994 жыл бұрын
Just a thought imo on how to get more subscribers. Try to round up the girls (we like to think we're helping shape their minds) and yourself at least twice a week to react to two new videos (at least) Dedicate maybe Mondays for Babymetal (They have a huge catalog of hits to react to, it has music you'd like and they'll like and babymetal has strong support online.) And maybe Abba too (see above for reasons.) Maybe Home Free or Cranberries as well Title it Dad And Daughters First Reaction To ***** for maximum exposure Anyway advice taken or not I'm looking forward to the next reaction. Hope all are well (Ps have they ever watched A-ha Take On Me vid?)
