This is what reaction videos is about! Lots of people are so analyzers they miss the reacting stuff. I enjoyed yours. Addendo: Probably you kow it by now... the lyrics are sorta: "I want chocolate... I know it will grow me fat... but I worked so hard that I deserve it". Not the classical Metal literature, you know, but Idol one. The mix fits perfectly, as you said.

They started out in a Japanese developmental Idol group called Sakura Gakuin. Their raise in popularity had them break away officially in 2013. The live backing band is known as the Kami Band, they played off and on from 2012-2013, and they were not fully established in Babymetal until 2014. Age during this video, Su-Metal 16, Yui and Moa 14. There are four sides to their performances, group songs, they also have songs dedicated to Suzuka which are her solos. Then there is what is known as Black Babymetal this is where Yui and Moa do duets. Lastly they have Kami Band intros and Mischief of the God's, which are pure instrumentals of the band doing solos before songs. They play a variety of metal styles including the one they invented known as Kawaii Metal. Their first song Doki Doki Morning (2010) is a great example of Kawaii Metal. Gimme Chocolate that is also Kawaii metal. However they have done speed metal (Road of Resistance), folk/Viking metal (Meta Taro), Ska/Punk (YAVA!), more rock style song (Syncopation), Progressive Metal (Tales of Destinies/The One), Ballads (Amore, No Rain No Rainbows), and even black metal (Sis. Anger) The music is written by a small army lyricists and musicians. There are to many to list. They also did a collaboration with DragonForce (Road of Resistance). Each song tell stories. Karate is about overcoming even ones own fears and doubts, Gimmie Chocolate is about body shaming of young girls in Japan, and just wanting to eat some chocolate. Other themes are anti bullying, coming of age, and woman empowerment. Some are just fun like playing hide and go seek with an ogre. Their choreography is done one of Japan's best Mikiko Mizuno she is doing the opening ceremonies for the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. I think this info will get you going in the right direction in Babymetal information. Videos you will not get slapped with Copyright strikes. Karate, Road of Resistance, Ijime, Dame, Zettai, sometimes Mischief of the God's/ Rondo of Nightmares. Everything else it's the Mute and Sync method sorry.

I would recommend Doki Doki Morning, Headbanger or Megitsune, because they are on the lighter side of Babymetal. The videos were when the girls were much younger. Road of Resistance is pure power metal, but you need to watch it live from Japan. Ijime, Dame, Zettai is another live performance. The newer stuff is consistently harder.

BabyMetal started (in 2010) as a sub-unit of a school-themed group which is called Sakura Gakuin (Cherry Blossom Academy). That group is age limited (ranging from 10 to 15), and the members of BabyMetal have since graduated from the group (as they are 20, 18 and 18). BabyMetal, however, became bigger than expected and has become independent of Sakura Gakuin (but still with strong ties between them), so the age limit doesn't apply to them.
