Hello, Lobo. Here’s your offer; if you live around Dallas. Keep reacting and I’ll find you a ticket, if and only if you use it. In Japan they are serious about preventing ticket resales. How do I know, because I went there in January for a Babymetal show. First off, they have such a large following, most of the tickets are limited to a lottery before GA goes on sale. Second, once you are there, you have to compare the individually inscribed tickets with your name to photo ID. I mean it is probably easier to get on an airliner in the US (even after 911) than a Babymetal concert in Japan. However, we don’t live in Japan (unfortunately). Sometimes, people have personal issues that prevent them from going to a concert. Other times it’s simply people (scalpers) investing money on cheap tickets in hopes of resale. So let me give you a little knowledge. I have tickets for Dallas, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The Dallas tickets are the cheapest due to the venue. Koba - Learn. If they were at Verizon, Toyota Factory, or American Airlines Arena , the tickets would easily be double. I’m not a GA kind of guy, which is what Dallas is for the most part. The other two have GA, but are more of an opera house, movie theater, amphitheater style venue. I have very good tickets, but by no means the best. Two weeks after I purchased my tickets for around $300, I looked online and tickets near me were going for up to $3,500 per seat! Made me contemplate being a scalper myself, but the group and not me deserves the money. My point is, if you’re saying this for your channel, great. If your really want to jump down the Fox Hole, fans will support. It’s your choice.. 13:14

I'm from the US and I'm a 76 year old die-hard rocker going back to the very beginning in the late1950's and early 1960's. I first got interested in J-Rock after I saw The 5,6,7,8's in Kill Bill and then found Show-Ya. I kind of fell out of touch until about 7 years ago, when I watched a video of Wagakki Band's song Kishikaisei someone posted on Facebook, and the rest is history. WGB, Baby Metal, Band Maid, Aldious, Nemophila, SCANDAL, Lovebites, Glim Spanky, Polkadot Stingray, Stereopony and a host of others. Music had gotten so bad in the US that all I listened to was the playlists I had put together over the last 50 or so years. Then WGB happened and it was off to the races. Japan is THE place for new, fresh music that has resurrected classic rock for us aficionados. I've seen Band Maid twice and haven't see Baby Metal, WGB or SCANDAL yet, but I am planning a trip to Japan for the end of the year. And not just rock and metal. Japan has an amazing Jazz/funk scene that is so creative, especially The Jazz Avengers, Uko Saxy, Twin Base, Foxy and a whole lot more.

There are so many great bands. Once upon a time ... Japan started building cars and the USA told them how to build vehicles. Pretty much they still are following those rules. Most rock bands got a few years on them and Japan is learning from the best. BABYMETAL, One OK Rock, Perfume, BAND-MAID... I like Liv Moon for her amazing abilities and the best backers.

This song is the story of a 15yo girl going to her first heavy metal concert, she falls in love with the music and realizes it will be a love for the rest of her life. It's similar to Babymetal's story, the singers were members of an idol/school sort of group in Japan, were recruited (invited) to join the "heavy metal" club that eventually was renamed the Babymetal club. They had never heard metal before, the music director took them to see Metallica and they fell in love with the genre, it became a love of their life. I know this could have more details, but its just a cool side note on the song. *edit-->* my suggestion for a next look is to search "BABYMETAL - DEATH - LIVE - LEGEND 1997 APOCALYPSE", the "LEGEND 1997" concert is from 2013 and occurs within a day of Su-Metal's 16th birthday.

Welcome back🦊and great reaction again. Take your time, as you said you have people wanting other bands etc so you don't have to binge on BABYMETAL (much as some of us would also appreciate that). All the songs and videos will still be there for when you do react to them, so spread them out and you will probably appreciate them all the more as a special treat. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but it is also a coming of age thing (compulsory education ends at 15 in Japan), so the girl is realising life will never be the same, her first 15 years passed by so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. At shows in 2014 on or near their own 15th birthdays Yuimetal (in Paris) and Moametal (in Cologne) took over lead vocals for 'Headbanger' when Su-metal handed them the mic and stand half way through the song for them to finish it off ... and Su-metal seamlessly stepped into their place with the choreo. The same thing happened in 2019 on Moametal's 20th birthday - 20 is the official coming of age to be an adult in Japan (I think that is being changed to 18, but I'm sure 20 will still be the birthday they celebrate most). This was another fan made compilation video with clips from a lot of different concerts. Some compilations are well made and may be the only thing available for some songs, sadly there are others that jump around, use clips from the wrong song, show the wrong musicians playing something you are not listening to and so on and lose the essence of the performance. If given a choice between a full live performance and a compilation choose the full live every time. I know you had a lot of suggestions for more songs last time, no need to add to those yet, it will take you a while to get through all of those.

BABYMETAL performed this song as 10th song in the recent two-day concerts in January. I was there ヽ(^o^)丿. That means I was one of the people who were on the girls' palms. The crowd's mass headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet. In this video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 08:24. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences. What's more, you can see the crowd doing "Dogeza" 「土下座」 (= kneel & bow until forehead touches the ground). That is the most abject and disgraceful way to show apology or unconditional surrender in Japan. We never see people doing it happily and smilingly in other place than BM concerts. I understood Dogeza became the most honorable way to show strong tie within BM fanbase in the world when I saw many people doing it at the Forum, LA on Oct.11, 2019. Of course I did Dogeza 2 times in January with bliss 🤣

The part that gets me most on this song is near the end, coming out of that very pop part, just before it goes into the final headbanging. They had options here. Maybe a big euphoric upward belt, but she hits a note that is decidedly darker than you might expect. It almost sounds tragic. It's a bold choice, and just that one little touch gives this song a lot more depth and weight. Kudos to whoever had that idea...

They were actually little girls, 11-12 years old, when BABYMETAL was formed back in 2010. They were mid/upper teens in all of the performances shown in this compilation*. These compilations are pretty cool, especially for those who are new to the group so that they get to see as many crazy crowds and badass stages as possible. 😄 I put this song in my recommendations yesterday because it represents the "crazy" side of BABYMETAL, the other three songs on my list each show different sides. I don't want anyone to think they are a one trick pony, or fox... 🦊 You also said they are international rock stars and that is certainly true, because I've read that they are by some metrics Japan's most successful group internationally. * Su might have been 20 at one or two of the shows, please don't bombard me if that was the case. 🙃

You had some words about following your dream at the end, which can't be stressed enough. Some unfortunately realize this "too late" and wish they could go back in time. BABYMETAL often have uplifting and motivational lyrics that speak about one's dreams or destiny. Here's two of my favorite lines: "If you believe in your way, go on, even if there is no path." "The map to the future, which began to move, is within you. Now, no more tears, no more pain , no more cry. Far in the distance towards that light out there. What it (the map) aims for is the Arcadia of dreams. * Arcadia comes from Greek mythology. It's a place that is described as perfect, a utopia of sorts.

Nice reaction. The audience participation is top notch. You can tell from the smile on Su's face especially on their current tour. She is happy to be back on stage in front of a live audience. Moa looks like someone told her she smiles too much and now she's trying really hard not to. But we know deep inside Moa is smiling. At least I hope she is. She deserves to be happy too. Momoko is somewhere between Su and Moa on the smiling department right now. But so far there's one song all of them smile and the audience right along with them. PA PA YA. Summer is here and the return of the summer festival song by Babymetal has the crowds going. Babymetal has their energy turned on up this song. Back to Headbanger. A fan favorite and a song we had hoped we would get a special birthday performance for. In the past for their 15th birthday Yui and Moa got the lead mic handed to them halfway through the song. And on Moa's 20th birthday this happened again. Sadly, Yui left before her 20th birthday. The 20th birthday version of Moa sing headbanger is so good it became known as Moabanger. I suggest holding on to this. Moa's birthday is the 4th of July. Reacting to that on that day would be very cool and a nice tribute to Moa on her birthday. Momoko's 20th birthday past a few months ago. And we had hoped she would get to sing Headbanger. But they weren't doing shows when it happened. I wonder if they took her out for her birthday. Yup the foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

I live is Dallas, TX but I am going Houston,TX to see them as the Venue is better in Houston. The ones you have been reacting to mostly are when they are younger. They are older in Syncopation, Dusk till Dawn, Monochrome, Mirror Mirror, many more. New member Momoko (MOMOMETAL) is now third member as Yui-Metal left in 2018 for health reasons. They have been around for 10 years. Su-Metal the lead singer is now 25 years old.

I would suggest you also look into Band Maid, a female hard rock group who are at the top of the heap right now. They have brought hard rock back to life. They just finished a tour here in the US and will be back again in August, part of their 10th Anniversary Tour. They also had a 20 date US tour last year that went from coast to coast. I saw them twice, in NYC on 10/28 and then again in New Jersey on 10/30. Best live experience ever. You won't be disappointed.

The moment you stopped at was from feb. 2015, when they were 17 and 15 and 15. 5:00 this is why you need to checkout what the opening bands are before going to a concert 🙂 6:00 Babymetal, when they were teens, were the best known Japanese teens in the world performing outside of Japan. They really are something unique, teen badass rockstars indeed. 7:10 the main singer of Babymetal, in Babymetal we call her Su-metal, is build different, the bigger the crowd the happier she seems to be !

I really enjoy your reactions. Feels very genuine and not too over-the-top. I have tickets to see them in Michigan in September around my birthday! I'll be 45 then! Since the 1st time I heard them I've always thought of them as Metal, and not a gimmick. I wish I could go to a live show like we see in their best vids, but alas I think that's only if you're in Japan, or near it. I think here in the States they're still an opening act and have to perform on tiny stages :(

I'd still pick the Sonisphere 2014 performance as the apex of their badassery. Another compilation video???!!! I passed on your previous BABYMETAL reaction; when I saw the word "compilation", I wasn't going to waste my time like you did. Compilation videos are, in my opinion, an insult to both the viewer and the band; the music is certainly overdubbed, and the changes in venue and costumes (sometimes even personnel) can be confusing if not completely annoying. You are not reacting to BABYMETAL, you are reacting to a highlight reel of BABYMETAL. You and your viewers deserve better. I'm sure you're enjoying BABYMETAL but you have yet to react to BABYMETAL. For all the good it has done you, you may as well have hung a picture of them on a wall, and stared at it while listening to them on Spotify.
