Tiny little Headphone Rant
For anyone freaking out about Chloe not listening to music with headphones...headphones are not the best way to listen to music/react to music...in the recording studio they listen to the music on high end speakers/monitors which is what we use. Almost everyone thinks headphones are the best way, they are not, if you don't believe me go talk to professional sound engineers and producers.

This is the way reaction channels should be listening to the music (I understand its not affordable), this is how the professionals do it, not through headphones. In real life you listen to sound without headphones, which is kind of what speakers/monitors do, mimic how you actually hear things in real life which is without headphones covering your ears. I'm not trying to make anyone mad, just explaining what I know is a better way of listening to music...also, I happen to be a professional sound recordist in my area and all my sound recordist friends agree. This apprence at Sonisphere in 2014 in the UK was there first Metal festival outside Asia . 95% of this crowd did not know who they where . After a campaign by fans called BabyMetal for Sonisphere the Organisers who prided thereselves on promoting up and coming band's invited them to perform. Originally they where due to play on small side stage , but Gimme Chocolate went Viral on KZbin and after a lot of interest shown it was announced a couple of months before they would play Main Stage. On line a lot of Metal Elitist showed the anger declaring them a gimmick and said this is not Metal they should not perform here . Some even threatening to Boo them and through bottles of urine at them . The fans at this festival where notorious for showing disapproval at Bands they where not happy with . With there time slot being early in the day it was thought most of the festival attendees would be sleeping hangovers from night before off . Maybe they might get a 1.000 to 2.000 watching them ,but the festival goers had got up early and got good places to watch Iron Maiden and Slayer who where to peform later and around 50.000 to 60.000 thousand where waiting . The girls where worried no one would turn up to watch them . They looked out of gap and could see no-one. Someone said no this way and there is a famous picture of them looking a bit worried when they seen the crowd first time . They where only Su 16 and Yui and Moa 15 and they new about this crowds reputation and the threats . They had 5 songs to perform to win them over . This was there last song . Su had them singing along to Gimme Chocolate and you could hear the roar of the crowd during the song and shouts of "we want more and one more song at the end " This performance was a very important apprence in BabyMetals story Su said it made them feel accepted by Metal Fans . Fans call this apprence as " The Miracle of Sonisphere " i often tear up watching this with happiness at what they achieved here and being proud of them . ❤ ❤❤🤘🦊🤘

Love this performance. I won't repeat what others have mentioned, Babymetal sold the most merchandise that weekend of any band. Including big metal bands like Metallica or Iron Maiden. Also this performance on that day made such an impression it went all over the metal/rock online/offline magazines and even some general music press. It really was a big deal. And established Babymetal as being able to deliver an amazing live performance. Not just some gimmick. Babymetal training is doing full setlists. This gives them endurance, etc.

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 The phrase "Dame Zettai (= No absolutely)" is originated from police campaign against illegal drugs which had started in 1960s. So this song implies that "Ijime (= bullying)" is considered as harmful and addictive as illegal drugs. We have to continue our efforts at home and in school (and in any society or organization or group in the world) to eliminate it. Last year (2021), BABYMETAL performed IDZ in all of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan Concerts with Su-Metal's matured voice and Moa's more encouraging moves synchronized with Momoko avenger. It was probably their message to the world.

Su-metal: "[In] the song "Ijime, Dame, Zettai," there is one phrase that means "I will protect you no matter what." I feel very connected to that because we play the song at the end of our set. All of us are super tired from the whole show, but there's one part in our choreography where we all walk to the center and look into each others' eyes and it's like, "OK, let's do this." It also reflects to where we are in reality. In this classic IDZ performance you get a bit of everything: Kami Band shredding, Su power vocals, Su's hyper extended elbow, Moa and Yui backing vocal, dancing, and a Yui tutu malfunction. The title takes an iconic Japanese anti-drugs slogan "Mayaku, Dame, Zettai" (Absolutely no drugs) and uses it against bullying substituting Ijime (bullying or abuse) for Mayaku (drugs). In the two years before this concert BM had worked hard to transform themselves from an idol group, just singing and dancing to backing tracks, into a metal band capable of performing live in concert. The Kami Band had been formed and integrated into the performances and they had played several Japanese festivals and done the Legend concerts in preparation for touring. After that BM were getting good buzz and they were invited to perform at Sonisphere, a big UK metal festival at Knebworth, as part of their first European tour. They were nervous because the UK crowd was notoriously tough and weren't expecting such a large crowd, but by the end of their 30 min set they had won them over completely. IDZ was their finale. It's the moment that critics and the international audience realized that BM were a legitimate headlining band and not just a gimmick. It was also a complete vindication of Koba's vision and everyone's hard work and I think you can see that in Su's smile at the end.

Nice reaction, thanks! This was a very important part of their history. You don't win over that kind of crowd every day being a non orthodox and almost total unknown band. But they did, and walked out the stage while the audience chanted "we want more!". That's an epic win. The song itself is one of my top favorites. It's one of their earliest works (their second song to be performed live) but they decided to release it later, probably because it's a "canon" power metal song and they preferred to release songs like "Iine" (which is crazy and mixes many genres) before this one.

Very nice catching the name of the song from the girls, Chloe. They gonna remember this live performance forever, it was for sure a turning point in their career facing a crowd of 60K people, insane. The background story is also legendary, it seems perfect, it looks perfect but it wasn't, some technical issues with MoaMetal mic device and YuiMetal with the clearly red dress rip off, you can see Yui's face struggling with that, but they managed to get through it all like a pro and got one of the most infamous metal crowd in the palm of their hands. It was a miracle. This was the day after MoaMetal 15 birthday ( July 4th) when started their first European tour, this wasn't the first country but later become their second home for them. IDZ is a song with a powerful message for many fans since talk about a global social problem specially during the childhood, they and we stand against bullying, no more, forever. You got an official MV during early years so whenever you feel to watch it feel free to share that with us. My favorite part of 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' is still the part where Su-metal threatens to kick Yui and Moa in the head if they don't stop bullying each other. IDZ, with Catch me if you can are my absolute top songs. The songs feel really different, with the different styles of cheers from the western audience vs the japanese. Its interesting to see, how BABYMETAL gets more and more accepted in english festivals the following years (Download 2015, 2016 & 2018).

Great reaction. MartinMetal has explained the back story and significance of this performance already. This was their first trip outside of Asia, they'd played a couple of small venues in Paris and Cologne in the days leading up to this, but this was their first major event outside of Asia and they found themselves having to win over a potentially hostile crowd of 50-60,000 UK metalheads. As Martinmetal said, there had been threats made on social media of bottles and worse being thrown at this "manufactured gimmick band" by a few morons, but most of the crowd didn't have a clue who they were or why there were 3 little Japanese girls in red tutus walking out on stage at this metal festival. In just 25-30 minutes and with just 5 songs (this was the last) they had completely won the crowd over - you may have heard them calling for "one more song" at the end as they said their "See you" and walked off stage. They consider this one of their biggest milestones and it being the moment they felt accepted by the metal community and really began to believe their music could break the language and other barriers. Su-metal has described how a sea of puzzled faces changed to smiles as their set went on and how it went from just the front few rows jumping and joining in and looked like a wave running back through the crowd from front to back as more and more people followed suit. They had the biggest mosh pits of the whole weekend and their merch outsold every other band playing there (including big names like Slayer, Anthrax, Iron Maiden and Metallica). IDZ was actually one of their very earliest songs. The lyrics are worthy of a deep dive too, it has a very important message.

Nice reaction. A great performance by them in front of a new audience for them. The full-on sprint at the start of the song is always done by them. The cool thing about it is they have done this song on many different size stages and always end up right next to Su in time with the music. Even with the avengers (the 3 dancers who filled in Yui's spot). Moa is so good at this that there's a clip from I think Giveme Chocolate where she's waving to the crowd. It looks like there's no way she'll get back into formation in time. But Moa runs back and steps into formation and in one smooth move is in synch with Su and Yui. Amazing. I know they have click tracks going in their in ear monitors but that's above and beyond timing. Practice makes perfect as they say. You should try to watch this whole performance from Sonisphere 2014. It really is an amazing performance over all. They said they were very nervous before they came out. As you can see at the end Su was very pumped up. IMO that's become the way to tell how at least Su has felt the show went. If she's smiling and pumping her fist it was a great show. Also every Babymetal fan waits for the See You. It is adorable. Or Kawaii as they would say. See You in the foxhole.

Not many bands sing about anti bullying, and here Babymetal is anti bullying personified. Many of the commenters has probably told you about the background of this performance, and the people that were threatening to boo them or throw stuff at them, for being a "gimmick"..... And here you have 3 little girls that probably has balls than most of the guys in the crowd, go up on that stage, face down the hate, and won over huge crowd of people. One of the many reasons I like the band.... Not all of their music clicks for me, but its their whole story that I vibe for..... Working from almost nothing, and succeeding.🤘🦊🤘

This was a very special show for the girls. This was really the first time the band realized they might be able to successfully put on a legit world tour. Before this show, they had never performed in front of a large outdoor audience with the Yuibot mark IV, which was in fully autonomous mode here and didn't require a physical tether. Her battery capacity was still limited, which is why the set was only 5 songs long, and her microwave receiver failed mid-performance, so the secondary antenna was deployed from her skirt for this song, but it was a great proof-of-concept that the Yuibot could finally perform on stages that weren't especially built for her. The rest, as they say, is history!

What's amazing is 3 young Japanese girls, went before the UK's metalheads. Who will let it be known if they don't like you, and proceeded to delight these heavy metal fans with their performance. That is no easy task, and the courage it must have taken for them to walk out on stage and perform. I admire them, and a lot of heavy metal fans were converted.

It's good to see you catching up. You need to get a little more into their story and their personal history and all these little moments will start to really pop. Can you please react to 👉the lady of heaven trailer? The movie was shown in AMC Theaters in the US and it had a very long and successful run there.
