Great reaction. This was the final encore at the end of a 90 minute show - they'd kept that same energy and enthusiasm up right from the first second. This was at Saitama Super Arena in January 2015. Su-metal was just 17, Yuimetal and Moametal still only 15 and that was a crowd of over 20,000 people completely under their control. Getting the crowd involved is what they do and there is nobody better at doing that than BABYMETAL. The song is about forging your own road, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British power metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song and played on the recording for the studio album version.

I think the word you were looking for is anthem. The song is an anthem. This performance, closing the show, is an example of the Sakura Gakuin principle of "perfect combustion." The idea is to use up all of one's gasoline/energy exactly by the end of the show. (Sakura Gakuin was Babymetal's parent Idol group.)

Isn’t it awesome how three such petite young ladies in physical stature can become a mile tall with their presence on stage? Su had just turned 17 not long before that concert, and Yui and Moa were 15. Still quite a young age to have such command of a full arena audience like that, but there they are, large and in charge. Very inspiring!

Both his father and younger brother were also drummers, so it's kind of in his blood. This is pretty much a master class in audience control. BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. You can definitely feel the speed metal influence in this one though. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce provided guitar tracks for the studio version. This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in January of 2015, with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. BABYMETAL's lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto, first appeared at SSA in 2008 as a member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. The band "all guys in case you were wondering" is called the Kami band. The Kami band members are all top-notch musicians but are not exclusive to Babymetal. They are the band that plays at their live shows but unfortunately their commitments are so high that lately they have not been able to play for their shows outside Asia. So, their tours in US/Canada have a different group called Kami band (West) while the original group became Kami band (East). If you want to hear this band they have a nice long instrumental intro in an excellent song called "Catch me if you Can" live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5jRqoBsbrGBa5Y. If you want to see the Kami band West you can see their talents displayed in a song called "Kagerou" Live. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6G6nKiFm56MZ5o. You may notice the different look.

I totally agree about music having no barriers. It can be a uniting force, I think. As my man Henk Poort once said, "Good music is good music." I'm not a fan of Babymetal (too much J-Pop for my taste), but I have mad respect for them. The Kami band is excellent, the girls are talented and so energetic, and Sumetal has a fantastic voice. I've even watched an entire concert of theirs when they had one up on their channel and enjoyed it; they put on a spectacular show. I'm a bit sad I can't really get into their music, but they deserve all the success in the world. Glad you enjoyed their cuteness, Bis!

Welcome to the Fox-hole! Others have already provided important facts, so I will just give some fun facts, namely nick-names; Su-metal is called "The Queen" because she will often appear regal on stage, has one of the best "Death Glares" in metal and commands an audience like very few can ever hope to achieve. Yuimetal: Often referred to as "Princess Yui", "The Tomato Princess" (because she loves eating raw tomatoes whole) and "Yuibot" due to her precise dance movements and tendency to have lagged reactions during interviews Moametal: Called "Princess Moa" and "The Angel of Love" because she always has that big heart-melting smile and will try to make eye-contact with every audience member possible, even those all the way back in the nose-bleeds. Moa has always been the mischievous one and will often due little things on stage to try to get Su-metal to break composure and laugh. She is often the most emotional and will just as easily cry joyfully as she will smile at an audience. Black Babymetal: this refers to Yuimetal and Moametal when they perform certain songs without Su-metal. Also called "MoiMoi".

Nice reaction, thanks! I watched the whole concert, New Year Fox Festival - Legend 2015, on BD last weekend and I ended up exhausted :) It was a 90+ minutes concert and their energy was really amazing. And this was the third (and last) encore. It's something you cannot believe until you watch it with your own eyes. For being a "music video", they show quite the Kami Band. To be fair, the stage configuration with that satellite stage in the middle of the crowd doesn't help. But it's a cool music video because it's actually a live performance with live footage for both audio and visuals, just cutting out like 3/4 parts of the extensive outro. And you are totally right about the emotions even not being able to understand a word of the lyrics. The fact is that I never felt like that before BABYMETAL and I believe that Su-metal has a lot to do with it. Guess why she's called the Queen? Until next time!

That was a great reaction. Not your average metal band, but unique in a good way for sure. Babymetal were the most badass teenagers ever and they aren't anymore only because they are in their 20s now. 🙂 In metal their are 3 big crowd activities (not counting crowdsurfing, etc): - the wall of death, which is what you saw at the beginning: the running into each other - the moshpit is: randomly bumping into people in a group - the circle pit is what you see at this concert after the wall of death: more organized running around in a circle None of these are meant to be for people to get hurt and when someone falls: the unwritten rule is to help them up. And sometimes their are some people who are a-holes who go into a pit to hurt people, usually they are drunk people. That is NOT OK, hopefully someone bigger or stronger is nearby to stop it. But a Babymetal show is the best place to learn such things: circle pits are the most kindest form of metal crowd interactions. Something else you might see at a Babymetal show: pushing near the front, because their are always people who want to be at the front, but because of Babymetal's show elements, etc. people want that maybe even more. If you get caught up in that, go to the left or right side it will be quieter there.

You can tell it's the end of any show when the singers do the "advertising" like that at the end of the song. It's called an "anthem" and these typically sound like the themes to movies or TV shows. The song and lyrics were definitely inspired by Japanese and American TV shows going back decades. I can even hear a bit of 1980s "Night Ranger" music in there. Definitely right that music is a universal language. You don't need to get the language of the lyrics to appreciate the mood of it.

Nice reaction. Babymetal shows have a lot going on. One of the reasons they have become one of the best concerts to go to in the world. Babymetal and the audience are one. Which is why the fans are called the one. That was an extended version of the song for this big show. At the end we got an additional part with a key change. And Su with her beyond human talent easily handled the key change even though this was the last song. And then the we are Babymetal part was actually longer as they went from side to side of the stage saying that. It's a big deal to Babymetal to give all the fans their monies worth. The sign off of See You is part of their kawaii. Which is a whole vibe in Japan. To get to see more of their amazing stage band known as the kamiband. Check their songs with intros. Like Catch Me if You Can with intro, Yava with intro and there's the Rondo of Nightmare with Mischef of the gods intro. The last one is a Su solo. Enjoy your journey through the Babymetal galaxy of music.

The three girls at the time of this concert were Lead Vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto (17 years old) backup singers and crowd control Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (15 years old). Every song of BabyMetal is different and they fearlessly explore many different music genres. They are highly respected by all the great heavy metal bands like Metallica and Slipknot. They have performed or collaborated with many of those same bands. I think Headbanger LIVE would be a good next reaction or “ijame dame zettai “ LIVE at 2014 Sonisphere in the UK where they had 60,000+ British metal heads screaming WE WANT MORE! While the MV’s are great and well produced I would suggest reacting to BabyMetal LIVE whenever possible as this is where they are at their best. Stay away from LIVE performances at Glastonbury though as the sound production by the BBC was terrible. Good luck and hope to l, as the girls say, “see you!” soon.

_Now Pizza Time! (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕 _Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. Is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are glorious set of elite musicians whom were send to help with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarrists), all of them are males. They are: - Míkio Fujioka, god of guitar, sadly he passed away in 2018. R.I.P. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio's pupil and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. You'll love to know he's well known to have so much fun, along with the rest of the band, having some "hengao", or funny faces game with MoaMetal while performing this song live on tour. Your accent is also so kawaii. Thanks for sharing this and hopefully this won't be blocked but judging by what I saw without any filters this most likely will be blocked 😢 See you next time and kitsune up! 🦊🤘❤️

This is BABYMETAL! I hope you have a great time on your BABYMETAL journey! You have a long way to go and I envy you because you are discovering BABYMETAL for the first time. I wish I could do that again haha. Can't wait for the next reaction, I strongly recommend Akatsuki, the black night performance. It's a solo song for the lead singer Su Metal and you see a lot of the band. Its a GREAT song!

Thank you for reacting to Babymetal. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻 this is a legendary song, and an iconic performance. I always get teary eyed when listening to this performance. And the "see you" at the end melts Me completely. I know the feeling of getting emotional listening to them, and at first I didn't quite know why. Then after learning their entire backstory, and how hard they have worked, and how immensely talented everyone are, it made more sense. That goes for the girls, the Kamis, Koba and all of team Babymetal. I think its partly because I'm a father Myself (I'm 41 and my daughter is 18), and it's sort of the same feeling I get, when she succeeds. Its a sort of a paternal feeling of being proud of them. Like I want them to be happy, I want them to succeed, and then when you see a video like this, and all the pieces of the puzzle just find each other and forms some sort of higher level of greatness. There is literally nothing to not love about this. And partly because after learning about them and observing them in interviews over the years, how incredibly humble and thankful they have always remained, I just can't help but feel, that all the success and good things that come their way, couldn't happen to anyone more deserving. Awesome reaction, looking forward to more. You can consider yourself a part of The One. 😊 Kitsunes up, and long live Babymetal 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

0:58 people say these words: "I'm ready". But Babymetal live is not like most other bands 🙂 Babymetal really is an attack on all the senses. 3:37 See what I meant... They give us a vision of an other, unexpected, way women in metal could be.

You are starting to get very tiny bits and pieces in the comments of the Lore surrounding this band, and there is so much... The "Kitsune" which is the Fox hand signal that they use instead of the traditional Metal devil horns hand sign. Their Metal Fox entity that gives them instructions for their band to follow. They even created a graphic novel around Babymetal and the stories surrounding this group. So, you can go on wandering what's going on forever or you can watch the "unhelpful Babymetal guide". This will Introduce you to the girls, their origins and most importantly explain almost everything about their journey and how the massive amounts Lore ties into their story. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2rbg5yFd6xraNk It also makes a very popular reaction video... Just make sure to have your camera batteries fully charged, the video is 40 or so minutes...

Their are some elements which I do understand: it's epic & the audience interaction. And not just how lively they are, it's how loud and proud they are singing. It's like a love song, a sort of serenade to a friend. It's the passion. Somehow this is captured clearly on video/edited to show. For many it's also their age and the pride we feel. And one element is just how overwhelming it is. Babymetal is a visual and audio onslaught on the senses.

Great performance for you to watch Babymetal for the 1st time. ;) here are some suggestions for Babymetal songs to sift through, tho' be 'careful, some of them are real ear worm gems 😄 Yava (with Kami band intro) - great band solo's with a hint of Ska music. Kagerou (with Kami Band Intro) - Great band solo's again, tho' you'll see the American backing band they used when in USA.The drummer's a damn machine gun, & the girls get their heavy rock on). Kingslayer (awesome collaboration with Bring Me The Horizon - its only an audio video as it was made during lockdown, but damn it rocks!) Megitsune (video) Karate (video) Pa Pa Ya (video) - such fun to watch. Headbanger (live in Japan) Gimme Chocolate (the song that really raised their initial online profile) BxMxC (video0 heavy rap influences Shanti Shanti Shanti (Infectious Bhangra style beat). Enjoy your journey down the Babymetal foxhole, its a blast! ;)
Great reaction... And your comments are very perceptive. I think youre new to babymetalmetal... You can look forward to so many more great songs & performances! ....Thank you!

Yes, Eastern Asian females tend to hide their age well, however, SUMETAL had just turned 17 less than 3 weeks before this show; YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL were just 15. So, not only did they look young, there WERE young! That's something that makes this performance even more impressive, at least to me!

Good reaction. Babymetal is essentially a metal idol band. I can't say for sure if they were, as such, the first metal idol group. They created a genre called "Kawaii Metal (Cute Metal)" and were "born" into a Japanese idol group called "Sakura Gakuin". Today they are the most influential heavy metal group in Japan and the one that has reached the furthest in the West.
