Babymetal's live shows are so intense and exhausting, both for the band and the audience, that they need a couple of slower songs for everyone to catch their breath in the middle of the set. I was actually at PIA Arena in Yokohama for this performance at Clear Night, so one of those lights in the crowd was mine. It was an incredible show to be a part of and I can assure you that the interlude in the middle of the song didn't feel too long while it was happening. It could have gone on twice as long and the crowd would have been there for it. This show was actually Momometal's first performance as a full member of Babymetal, as she was announced as the new member just the previous evening at Black Night, so the whole show had the air of a celebration as the fans welcomed Momometal into The One.

This is a song to listen to, to savour and enjoy, not a song to work out to. The break in the middle where Su spoke to the crowd and had everybody "light up this dark dark world" with the lights on their phones and then hummed the melody while the crowd sang the song back to her can never be "too long". She had nearly 100 audiences in 25 countries all doing that as they toured the world last year and it was magical every time. The sheer spectacle of everybody in the arena holding up their lights, Su, Moa and Momoko standing looking out at them with their arms around each other is one of the things that made this performance so special and can't fail to move a person. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I have been thinking with every reaction that your sight is impaired so you don't see (and obviously, through no fault of your own, wouldn't be able to appreciate) all the details of the performances.

I do watch a lot of the videos afterwards cause I do listen to these songs afterwards I just don’t want to do it before because then I’m not able to give a true reaction to the music so I figure music for the videos, that’s very very observant

@@danielcrane1560 I'm sorry to hear that, but it does explain some things I had noticed. It seems we need to recommend the performances that are best sonically rather than the big visual spectacular shows (although with BABYMETAL both things at the same time are possible). Perhaps 'Rondo of Nightmare' live at Budokan 2014 with 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' instrumental intro by the Kami Band would be good.

◼ 🤍 🖤 ◻ All the songs on 'THE OTHER ONE' album are set in alternate universes. BAYMETAL's producer Koba has described it as "concept album". But since it's a BABYMETAL song, it leaves you with a message of hope. "No matter how long the night… the morning will arrive".

The studio track is under 4 minutes so, the added time is all crowd interaction... and I know it's not the same when you watch it from home. But believe me, being there in person is a totally different story. Also songs like this are appreciated in the middle of a high energy set.
