BTW that Moa-smirk is world famous among BM fans. You can always spot the difference in the lyrics. Normally Headbanger has "Ichi go no yoru o" (ichi go=15) and in these birthday editions it's "hatachi no yoru o" (hatachi=20). Greets from Germany, enjoy!

These ladies are what promoted role models should be: humble, hard working, encouraging, keeping their personal life private, always positive, promoting good behaviour and so on. Just look at Su taking her role as back-up dancer for Moa and executing it flawless without any diva bs. Look at their respect for the crowd; can you ever imagine Moa coming drunk on stage ?! Or Su flashing her undergarments for viewership ? No, they bring in the talent, the skill and showmanship.

Yeah, they did this for the M Night show in honor of Moa's 20th birthday and also for Legend MM night in honor of MomoMetal's 21st birthday. The lyrics are changed for the birthday girls. When Su sings it, it is about a 15 yo girl learning to headbang at her first metal concert

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Devilish evil smirk on the archangel's face ! Moabanger reminds me that Lucifer is a fallen angel 🤔 In Legend-M, "Moabanger" was the 12th song in the setlist. Moa sang it in a stable manner without getting short of breath after exhausting dancing for 11 songs + the first part of Headbanger until Su handed the mic to Moa. Only a huge amount of exercise as an athlete enables a girl to get such a big cardio capacity on top of training as a dancer. Her arms look dainty but I saw several photos showing her biceps brachii and brachioradialis in good shape that I admire as a workout lover 😄 。 She is another monster. No, lovely Moa-nstar. (Momometal is also a Momo-nstar 🤣)

Very appropriate timing what with it being Moa's birthday today and all. This performance shows what a talented and charismatic vocalist Moa is in her own right. It's kind of a shame that she doesn't seem to want a larger vocal role in Babymetal, because she undoubtedly has the chops to do lead vocals if she wanted to. You're pretty much right about the 20th birthday thing. Twenty is the age of legal adulthood in Japan, so the performance of Headbanger as part of their birthday concert has become a tradition. Su-metal performed it at Legend S in 2017, then Moa performed it at Legend M in 2019, and of course Momo performed it earlier this year at Legend MM. However, they have performed Headbanger at birthday concerts in the past when they were younger as well. As far as I know, the tradition started with the performance at Legend 1997 to celebrate Su-metal's 16th birthday, and then both Yui and Moa performed it at tour shows on the Europe leg of the 2014 world tour.

Happy Birthday Moametal🤘🦊🎂 'Headbanger' is about significant life changes - the original is for the 15th birthday when compulsory education ends and they have to choose a career (or further education). The age of majority in Japan is (was) 20, so passing into adulthood - and of course this performance was 5 years ago today on Moa's 20th birthday.

This is the year they began with the _avengers_ backup dancers system filling the third spot dance, Kano Fujihira is the name of this avenger, but remember no other group member got official name revealed until MomoMetal was announced. You can find the full version with watermarked logo at BMRR (Reactor Resource) and the clean version in the description. And how could you not be a MoaMetal fan? She can make you smile non stop and she's totally a princess, yep princess, she's not a queen yet, and that's even her own words, the queen is SuMetal❤ This song got so many good versions that all of them deserves their own spot, such the first Headbanger!! live with a Kami Band first time showing up at Legend I (2012) till the Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 version, Makuhari Messe 2023 as well the more recent MomoBanger at Yokohama Arena in March. Fans were so lucky to enjoy this song at The Babyklok Tour in every setlist and certain live shows at the recent Europe Tour. Also not sure about Undertaker vibes but KobaMetal is a big wrestling fan so i wouldn't doubt about him including some wrestling touch here and there like he did with Meta Taro live at Dark Night Carnival 2018. Nice reaction. On the 4th of July I look forward to fireworks and Moabanger reactions. Moa's smirk just gives it her personality. She smirks a second time when she starts to sing and the crowd cheers. While holding the mic up she does her best Su impersonation until the smirk. They've been working on those death stares ever since. Even Momo is getting it down. Moa not so much. LOL Moa has to be Moa and we love her for it. Short version: Su was 16 years old, Yui and Moa 14-15, Crowd of at least 21,000, Reporter saw 16 circle pits going on. Almost always dancing ( 3 main girls) with Kami band. Keep going and you will be even more a fan. Live shows are nothing short of a once in a lifetime experience. (Try not to do compilation vids, you will get confused and lose the live experience) go for full songs. Music/lyric vids first is ok, but make sure you do the live after.

This is the best version of Headbanger, and Moa nails the scream just as well if not better than Su. This performance proves that Moa is not only a great dancer, but she is a good singer in her own right. I think its a shame she is being underutilized and does not get a chance to shine more with her voice. Yes, I know Babymetal was built and tooled around Su's voice, and that's fine because Su is a fantastic performer, but Moa has earned the right to do a song or two every concert, and not just on special occasions.

The original song was about a girl who turned 15 (the end of mandatory education in japan), but they made a version for Moa 20th birthday (I believe it is the adult age in japan), changing the lyrics in that way. Last year they sung the same song the day before the 21st birthday of Momo (so it was her last 20 years night).

They first performed the version with the lyric changed from "ichigo" (1+5, or fifteen) to "hatachi" (twenty years old) at LEGEND S - BAPTISM XX, which celebrated Su-metal's 20th birthday.
