Suzuka Nakamoto is a total pro. She has been singing professionally for most of her life -- few can equal or surpass her. I have seen her live many times, no autotune or tweaks-in-post, and she really is just as clear-as-a-bell onstage (usually). In my opinion, Suzuka doesn't get the respect she deserves due to the genre she sings plus her well-known introversion. I'm VERY happy she finally got the chance to sing for this series. I hope more people all over the world appreciate her.

She is very good. I would love to hear them do more songs in English and maybe even do some songs in a different style.

That was my experience in Melbourne recently, I think the mixing was a bit off and the band was overpowered, but I swear she noticed and just sang louder. She was as you say, basically just like the YT videos.

You know there's a video further back on this channel of them doing The One?

She and BM got fans over the globe. She is higly appreciated and this comment by some random twat fom northen europe. One of my "musican" friend told they are all playback so I had to show him this. "Argument" over.
Obviously, I don't know you. but thank you for this comment amongst many others that I have had the assistance of google to translate. I appreciate that the internet has brought your comment into my life despite the gulf in our respective locations. Let me explain...I am American and recently got in to Babymetal, although I've been aware of them for a while. About 10 years ago, I also worked at a Japanese company in the States for a short time. It was short because I didn't really fit in to the culture there. Amazingly, your comment about Su-metal is cathartic for me and makes sense of why working at that facility did not work out. I want and seek out music and singers that "pierce the heart" and it is strange to me that there are people out there that find that uncomfortable. Although, upon further reflection, I do understand hiding that kind of vulnerability. I am a "heart on my sleeve" kind of person, which I understand is probably a wholly American kind of thing, but realize that it can be perceived as weakness. Therein lies the root of why I'd never last in that job I had. I do apologize if this stream of consciousness seems disconnected and strange. I just wanted to express my gratitude that you took the time to comment. It meant something to me far more than what you may have expected when you posted it. Thank you.
I just witness them live an hour ago. I still can't get over how emotionally powerful Su's voice was paired with their request of everyone turning on their phone lights. That moment itself was amazing.
Their are multiple reasons: Su-metal's voice and singing style is pretty unique., it's very 'straight' and with clear pronunciations. And she puts her feelings into it. A lot of Babymetal songs are created to fit their voices, a bit like a layer cake, the higher tone vocals on top and harsh vocals and harsh metal sound below. And an other important reason: Babymetal has amazing sound engineers who know how to deal with both those highs and lows, especially for the live shows. But what matters the most: the results are an amazing (live) experience... 🙂
