That explains why Japan and Korea can have large groups of girls with no ego tripping, infighting or backbiting, everyone defers to the group to guarantee harmony. Then you have the senior-junior relationship, Suzuka is the oldest so Yui and Moa defer to her more often than not. Watching jpop and kpop, I'm fascinated by their group dynamics.

There is a LOT of talent in those singers/dancers. I can't imagine keeping up just the dancing without being too winded to sing. Very, very impressed. I see I'm "discovering" this band 5 years late- better late than never! The instrumentalists - WOW. They're all top notch, technically competent musicians. It's quite a mix, all of this talent in a metal genre, which unfortunately gets associated with technical incompetence :(. This group is SO good they transcend the genre completely. I'm concerned about how tired they are tho :(

^True. Or even songs like BABYMETAL Death and KARATE. That sounds like metal to me, although it was recognized by SU-METAL herself that they're not a true metal band but a combination of everything. Songs like Uki Uki Midnight even have some dubstep on them, Iine! has Rap and From Dusk Till Dawn has electronic music. That's why it is so fun and great to listen to. I just cannot get enough of BABYMETAL.

I'm an older metalhead, grew up in the 80s. Joined the Marines in 1990, and did two separate 6-month tours at Camp Schwab on Okinawa. Came across BabyMetal while randomly watching videos a year or two ago- Gimme Chocolate. At first, I had the same initial reaction as the viewers did in this video. When the video ended, I had to play it again! Been a fan ever since! It's weird to think about, but I've never seen a group that reminded me of good old hard driving metal AND the awesome memories I have of Okinawa AT THE SAME TIME, as they were two separate periods of my life. It's like a mind meld! Now, any time I reminisce about anything from my life spanning from the mid 80s to the mid 90s, a BabyMetal song seems to be mentally playing in the background. (Not to mention they did Judas Priest cover songs WITH ROB HALFORD!!!)
