"Walk this way" was a possible inspiration for this video, but both of these bands have been known for breaking walls between genres. They are also known for having issues with the suits in the music industry. When EC break into the meeting room the suits are not interested. When they break into BM having a karaoke party the girls get into the fun in a second. Then they continue together, harmonizing with clean vocals, harmonizing with the growls, and even learning new dance moves together. While mixing the song in a wall of sound style.

Electric Callboy doesn’t takes it seriously. It’s only Fun, Dancing, Tekkno, Jumping, Metal…… only Party, and Comedy. Look at Everytime we touch, Punp it, We got the Moves, Tekkno Train, Spaceman……..

Welcome back to BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 Last weekend they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab, pretty sure it's gonna be the hit of this 2024 summer. Hopefully they will play this at Download Festival too or any other festival. My favorite highlights: - MoaMetal is killing me everytime she blow a kiss.💀❤️ - MomoMetal stealing the cam with her funny faces.🍑 - SuMetal shaking it during the breakdown.💃 The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus and also I think I heard in a K-pop song, not sure which one. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements. Just like you did, another reference some reactors found was about breaking the wall with Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres. Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although fans spotted in the live version, so it was her after all. Love the euro dance and trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One. There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture that i probably missing a lot more. See you next time 🦊🤘🐭

This german band is called electric CALLboy (you said Electric Boy all the time)... no complain but funny This collaboration was planned (and very wsell executed) as 50:50 collab. This german band mastered this mixed electronic/metal sound since 2020 when new singer Nico joined the band. Babymetal was sighted at one of their concerts in boston last year. Glad the rumors for a collab turned out to be true

One thing most people miss, is that Momometal's harsh vocals towards the end. You first hear Kevin's Scream and "ARE YOU READY" right after the drop, then if you listen closely during the second "ARE YOU READY" its a different voice, THAT is acually Momometal "showing her fangs"!!! Also twice during "Everybody", the camera focuses on Momometal during those two screams. I think that the reason people are missing it, is that she is not overpowered by Kevin, but rather matching Kevin's scream, and can't tell them apart.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 (Japan time) . Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same day in the same place at Rock AM Ring in EC's homeland?

When BABYMETAL is on world tour, Su-Metal learns a little bit of the language for whatever country BM is in. Just enough to thank the crowd for coming to the show, ask them how they are doing, that sort of thing. Her English pronunciation is getting much better though. Edit: And thanks for the reaction also.

At this time, Su speaks English better than 95% of the people I know. That includes me. If I did not know of her, I would think she was a native English speaker. The amount of dedication Su puts into her study of whatever she wants to learn is off the charts. All I can do is sit in stunned awe. 😮 🤘🦊🤘

Uncle Momo, I think you're exactly right about that Run DMC/Aerosmith video, that it's a tribute in some way. If it's not and they're too young to know that video, it's possible that the same idea of breaking through genre walls occurred to them independently, but I like to think we're right and it's a shout-out. Though this is pretty standard for Electric Callboy. They sound just like this already, the metal/EDM fusion. They're like a joy factory with most of their songs being really upbeat, catchy, energizing and most of them have silly videos. As to the dancing, they tried with some synchronized arms movements at the end but Nico and Kevin from EC have a history of freestyling with professional-level dancers because they're just not pro dancers. Go watch their Everytime We Touch video, which is a remake of the Cascada version for more of that.

Nice reaction, I hope you consider reacting to more Electric Callboy songs. 😄🙃 If you want to take a look at what EC have done so far, you will have to catch up to 14 years of band history. If you want a short synopsis of their career, here are some of the bullet points: (‼Attention: Wall of text/Info dump ahead‼) 💖The band was founded in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy by six guys from Castrop-Rauxel a former coal mining city in the eastern part of the Ruhr Area within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany 💙Name change in 2022 to Electric Callboy - they explain the reasons in two videos on their KZbin page. 💛In 2020 their singer Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler left the band to found his new project 'Ghostkid' and was replaced by Nico Sallach a longtime friend of the band whose own Band (To The Rats And Wolfs) was newly disbanded at the time. 💜The introduction single for Nico 'Hypa Hypa' was also the international breakthrough for the band. Since then they had headline tours in Europe, USA (sold out) and Australia (sold out). Electric Callboy in its current manifestation is an absolute LIVE-Band! They truly shine on the stage - give it a try and watch a live concert. Like this one from 2022, they played in a relatively small venue, a mix of old (Sushi) and new (Nico) Songs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3OzdHurfb-op8U Live footage of Sushi-era EC is way rarer, because… well, let's put it diplomatically: sometimes his signature intensity was a bit much and tampered with the live quality. ❤They never stuck to one genre and were counted as Metalcore, Trancecore, Post-Hardcore, Electronic Rock… and recently the internet dubbed them Partycore. They combine metal/metalcore with influences from EDM/Techno, Pop and frankly nearly every imaginable genre of music. The general sound changed somewhat with the joining of Nico, as his clean rock, almost pop-sounding voice is distinctly different to Sushi's emo/punk-rock voice. With Sushi EC sounded rougher and a little harder in general, but I think this sound isn't lost. If you listen to the new songs in a live setting, it will be evident that even the songs of Tekkno sound way harder if the guys play them live on stage - prime example would be Spaceman. The guys always said they would make music which suites their personal mood at the time of writing and since 2020 and the pandemic and all the restriction that came with it, they made mainly fun/comedic music as a kind of therapy for them and their audience. Nevertheless, their catalog includes some really divers sounds; the funny ones are easy to find and most commenters or a quick YT search will suggest them anyways, so I will list some of the more serious songs for you in no particular, definitely not complete order: 🔹My Own Summer 🔹Best Day ft. Sido 🔹Back in the Bizz 🔹Crystals (the only Song I really like better with Sushi's Voice) 🔹Rehab 🔹VIP 🔹The Scene ft. Fronz 🔹Shallows (also a good Sushi-Song) 🔹Supernova 🔹Made by America 🔹Hate/Love 🔹Prism 🔹Mindreader 🔹Parasite 🔹Neon Generally speaking, you can't go wrong with any EC song, there are very few that aren’t killer and non that are bad. Greetings from Germany 🤘🔥🖖 Some additional Information _The current members are:_ ▪ Kevin Ratajczak: shouter, text writer, supporting clean vocals/harmonies, keyboards/synthesizers, producer (2010- present) - and yes big guy, 6'4" ▪ Nico Sallach: clean vocals, text writer, supporting shouter (2020-present) - he is 5'7" ▪ Daniel 'Danskimo' Haniß: lead guitar, composer, producer (2010-present) ▪ Pascal Schillo: rhythm guitar, backing vocals, arrangement, videography (2010-present) ▪ Daniel Klossek: bass guitar, backing vocals (2010-present) ▪ David(-Karl) Friedrich: drums (2012-present) _Past members:_ ▪ Sebstian 'Sushi' Biesler: clean vocals, first shouter, text writer (2010-2020; left after let's say 'creative differences' to pursue his solo carrier with his new project 'Ghostkid') ▪ Michael 'Micha' Malitzki: drums (2010-2012; left because of personal reasons; he subbed in 2022 for the band as David Friedrich was absent and on a humanitarian mission on the Polish-Ukrainian border) They have six studio albums: 🔹Bury Me in Vegas (2012) 🔹We Are the Mess (2014) 🔹Crystals (2015) 🔹The Scene (2017) 🔹Rehab (2019) 🔹Tekkno (2022) 🔹and start of 2024 they announced that the work on a new album has officially started two EPs: 🔹Eskimo Callboy (2010) 🔹MMXX (2020) and two live albums: 🔹The Scene - Live in Cologne (2018) 🔹HYPA HYPA Tour - Live in Ludwigsburg 2022 (2023) one stand-alone single: 🔹Everytime We Touch (TEKKNO Version) (2023) 🎶If you want the deep deep-dive into EC-world I would recommend the 'Making of…'-videos and the Tour Vlogs on their own YT channel or on TankTheTech's channel. Tank is a professional roadie, who turned reactor during the pandemic. He contacted the band for some interviews and they became friends, it grew to the point that he was their tour manager on the North America tour last year and since this year is their assistant TM globally…

I don't know, I enjoyed it. Have you seen Andrew Hartley's review? "I'm not going to have a lot to say," and the video is almost 20 minutes long because he waxes rhapsodic about how transformative the video is. The video made him enjoy the song more.

You have no idea what Su really does. In every concert she wNts to fo certain phrases in the Language of your host country country. When they realized that they were becoming a thing in the world there happened a major shift, even in Japan the Call outs were all switched to english. Not necessarily that they needed to speak with someone from the USA or UK but it is the lowest common denominator everyone who speaks german , dutch and so on can speak english and will immediatly switch to it when hevis asked something by a tiny japanese girl. This is the real reason why they learned so good english. While a lot of their country phrases is learned each tine anew for a few hours. And I think a part of it is that they don't want to hear extremly bad japanese. As my japanesecteacher told us he was lucky enough to meet a Kindergarten class in the early evening. So he said to them gon ban ws " Good evening" but the children were extremly confused abdvlioked like a cry for help to their teacher and she replyed with the same sentence and suddenly the children smiled and replied back. Jaoanese us simply a tonal language and some informations go through regions that we don't use. Older japanese people would have simply smiled corrected the error in their brains and replied. But the children were simply not old enough to do this. And to the part of the music history that you told us: There is a huge amount of this stuff hidden in the music because every culture and every age groupe gas its own different thinks to which they react. As an example Tank told us that in germany They were thinking the wuh-wuh might be zo cheesy but at zhe FoxFest they learned, no this fits in Japan. Icam quite certain Su will miss parts of this song, she was born 1997.
