Lyrics : MK-METAL Music & Arrangement : YUPPEMETAL 【歌詞】 空を彩る ナナイロの夢 ずっとこのまま 見ていたかった 昨日まで 輝いていた キラボシでさえも I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say. 色褪せてくから あのモノクロームの 花火なら 僕らは 何色で描こう 夜空を 雨に降られて 凍える夜は 少しだけでも 側にいたかった 明日まで 感じていたい 温もりでさえも You don’t have to say it. You don’t have to say it. 【Lyrics】 The sky decorated in a spectrum of dreams I wanted to look at it forever Even the bright star that was shining yesterday I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say. is fading away That monochrome firework what color can we imagine the night sky? Being drenched by the rain and freezing in the night I wanted to be by your side even just for a little while The warmth I want to feel until tomorrow You don’t have to say it. You don’t have to say it. will vanish eventually That monochrome firework we will imagine the night sky in rainbow colors During the dusk of Ragnarok, what are we to see No matter how long the night the morning will arrive That monochrome firework we will illuminate the world in rainbow colors Just smile

It's so amazing how no matter what barriers separate us from one another, the music will still bring us together! There's no need for communication. We hear a universal language that makes sense to us all!
My eyes are teary because I finally understand the song after all this time, realizing that Suzuka (Sui-metal) was born in Hiroshima, Japan.The song portrays the historical events that happened ranging from missile firing into the air, to falling umbrellas (nuclear bombs being dropped with parachutes to give pilots time to escape), to the nuclear explosion that destroyed the city. It shows a little girl shielding herself from the radioactive rain and the haunting image of one last surviving tree. And then she ends the song with "just smile." 🤧 BABYMETAL is truly underrated.

There was only one atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, and one dropped on Nagasaki. Neither of them had parachutes attached.
@TouchthisiProduction5 ай бұрын
@@charly_tan there were reports of parachutes, however it was not connected to the bomb itself, it was connected to measurement instruments beside the bomb. So you are correct.

I realized a bit later due to the comments that this song can be about the Hiroshima bombing, which makes it even memorable for me, before I went to Japan for the first time after the COVID restrictions were lifted, their single album just got released with the Monochrome and Shingeki. I visited Tokyo and Kyoto, but I wanted to visit Hiroshima too partly because Suzuka was born there, so I visited the city for 1 day using the Shinkansen from Kyoto and of course I was listening to these new songs too while travelling there. I visited the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, which is about the bombing and an anti-war museum too, and it is very hard to leave the museum without tears, so that day was a big emotional ride for me, then when I left Hiroshima, I listened to this song again without knowing this song is about the bombing of the city. In this year I stayed in Hiroshima for whole week and it became my favorite city in Japan, also I visited the Shukkeien Garden where an old ginkgo tree survived the bombing, there were only 6 ginkgo trees which survived it, so now I am sure the tree on the cover represents these survivors, the trees and maybe the people too.

Hello, Babymetal. I'm a Astronomy Ph.D. student in California, and I recently gave a TEDx talk about how the Night Sky unites Humanity, and how Astronomy can foster kindness and compassion in our world, and bring people together. Your songs Monochrome and Starlight really resonate with me for this reason. They were an inspiration for my talk. No matter who we are, our background, the night sky inspires us, brings us together ❤.

@lynn48404 ай бұрын
@@Deimos2k5 i feel like it's about both. if anything, i think the song also being about Hiroshima only makes the theme of the night sky uniting humanity even more resonant -- in the wake of something so devastatingly cruel, wouldn't humanity need something that can help unite us? who wouldn't want to look to the night sky for hope and compassion in a situation so bleak? what color can we imagine the night sky?

War is a terrible thing, Their are no real winners in war, to many casualties. The stupid thing is we do this to our fellow humans and even most those who are fighting don't want do it.
@@ukholly1 yes. because everyone has a different understanding. for example, it took me 2 days to understand the lyrics, interpreting them from word to word through a Japanese dictionary or asking my friends. who are fluent in Japanese because I am not Japanese. and I have several friends who immediately understood the contents of the song. by just looking at the visuals and listening to the emotions of the singer's song.

I saw them live last night (Sydney), and it was awesome. I had been looking forward to seeing them live for over a decade, and they were even better than I have hoped. I love their recorded music, but I was honestly amazed by how much better it was live. Su's singing was perfect, the dancing was great, and the band blew my mind. The Kami Band has deserved that name since they formed, but the difference between listening to a recording and listening to them perform so loud that you can feel the reverberation throughout your body is indescribable. Having the whole crowd singing "Oh oh oh" for Monochrome or Road Of Resistance is something you can't experience from a recording, and it was magic given to us by the Fox God. I would love to have heard one of Su's solo songs (Akatsuki and No Rain, No Rainbow are so beautiful), and I would have loved to be in an even bigger venue. I think the only solution is planning a trip Japan so I can see them live there. If you have the chance to see them live, do it.

A trip to Japan is actually on my bucket list even though they are near here in a few months. The venues seem too small for the kind of show the videos have spoiled me for. lol. So, I feel ya' and still I'm a little jealous you got to see them. (forgive me...)
