Just wanted to clarify things because I think you mixed up some info about rappers. When he had his original 5 member line up, Ruka of course is known for being a rapper/strong dancer. However, as we’ve seen in the introduction videos and Last Evaluation episodes Ahyeon can rap really well. Yang Hyunsuk mentioned that Chiquita is learning how to rap, so he prefers to have 3 members who can rap. Then have 4 vocalists which he obviously has in the original 5 member line up. However, since he decided to go OT7 by the demand of the fans. He has more than enough overall talent and I guess you can say solid positions for members. He also still technically has 3 very strong and different rappers with Ruka, Asa, and Ahyeon. Then he still has 4 unique vocalists. It all works out LOL! Also, yes Yang Hyunsuk was trolling us all this time. If you look at the girls’ photo and ages it doesn’t match to their ages in present time aka right now. The Last Evaluations was all filmed from April-late August 2022!! Since then the company has been editing and planning how to market BABY MONSTER. A lot of people thought that this was happening in real time, but it’s not. It’s been a year! As for the debut member announcement, some say that YHS probably filmed 2 outcomes.. his original plan of only 5 members and of course with all members. Then when YG started dropping videos of the girls and the last evaluation episodes, he saw the feedback and opinions of the fans wanting OT7. Again… everything has been planned out since last year. So honestly I’m not surprised with the outcome. They literally have all 7 girls as the profile picture in BABY MONSTER social media accounts since Day 1. If the line up was such a mystery or if they were just going with 5 members as he originally planned. Then BABY MONSTER profile pic should have been just the BABY MONSTER name and not the girls. You know to keep the fans guessing, but nope.. and all 7 girls have been seen in and out of YGE building. Ruka, Pharita, Ahyeon, and Chiquita are also very active on BABY MONSTER’s tiktok and IG. So that was also very telling that BABY MONSTER is OT7. It doesn’t make sense if it was not OT7.

'Last Evaluation' was recorded in April - May 2022. YG monthly evaluations have 3 stage performances (solo, group song, group dance) and in the last evaluation we saw the BLACKPINK mission which excluded the solo performances but could have been part of the first performance videos that we saw. The second half of the last evaluation was the last mission where we saw all of their solo, group song, and group dance. The announcement video, YG (Yang Hyun Suk) is in the same clothes as in EP3 in the last evaluation. Not saying that that really matters since I wear the same clothes in at least a month rotation but found it really strange that the girls were not included in the announcement process like BLACKPINK when they had the member announcement line-up. Most people wanted to see the reaction of the girls when they found out that they were going to debut as a 7 member group. That is most likely because when they recorded the announcement video is before they told the girls that they would debut as a 7 member group. The last mission looked more like they were confirming the line-up, more than looking to eliminate someone. In June, they should have confirmed the line-up which is the reason that we have the pre-dubt song 'Dream' launch almost immediately after this announcement. They should have also been working on their debut song or songs and a music video which if the timeline is set for this fall or sooner would make more sense. Just so that they would have content leading up to debut, we might see something like a BABYMONS7ER HOUSE or ROAD TO DEBUT series (that's just me wishing) to fill the gap. Or we could see the same strategy the YG uses for BLACKPINK where it seems like there is a hiatus for a period of time then something drops making it blow up the internet. Because of how highly anticipated this group is, I am betting that they have recorded several songs right now and are trying to make the decision which one is going to be the best to debut. Once that is done then they need to make a music video for it that would break the internet. Just agreeing with you that the recordings and actions have some inconsistencies but it makes more sense if you include this timeline.

Ahyeon and chiquita is like 99.9% guarantee his top 2 lol. They have much more screen time than others for a reason. He accepted all 7 but if he really had to eliminate 3. One of the japanese member will be gone for sure. And obviously out of 5 there will not have 1 korean member. Domestic local promotion is really important

I think rora is more than capable to be in a group,he just doesn't want many main vocalists in a group, so she is young and more talented than her age he wanted to put her in other group to promote that another group, but anyway she deserves to be a main vocalist in a group.

I’ve been a YG stan since Big Bang but Yang Suhk has got to stop with his BS. As much as I’ve enjoyed watching the members, this whole Last Evaluation series has been such a farce. The seven girls were selected a year ago so YG fat out lied that Asa and Rora were selected by the fans after he deliberated during this past two weeks. But what matters is supporting the girls. But geez. His BS has to stop. It’s just so phony.

Love you guys but lets try to value EVERY member, the team wasn't built around Ahyeon. And what i've come to understand in Korean culture the "leader" is usually not the oldest member just out of respect because no one would want to challenge their unnie, so its usually anyone else that has leadership skills. I feel like Ahyeon and Haram will both have this role based on previous missions.

You're playing with semantics here. Maybe you've been watching some other show but it's quite clear to everyone that for YG, Ahyeon is the face/center/leader of the group and the other members are "built" around her. There is no scenario or group # combinations where she is not the first member selected, every other member can be removed but not her.

Or it can be like TREASURE where there is 2 leaders since they were a bigger group. BABY MONSTER is 7 members and it’s not only Ahyeon or Haram that showed leadership skills. Ruka also was appointed to lead the group in the final dance mission. So it can very well be co-leaders or one leader or like BLACKPINK.. NO LEADER. Either way, in my opinion I already knew Ahyeon, Ruka, and Chiquita were going to make it. As obvious reasons, Ahyeon and Chiquita have a lot of praises and attention since Day 1 and of course they deserve it cuz they’re talented. But I also think Ruka was also a guaranteed debut member because she embodies OG YG HIP HOP style out of all the members. YHS said it in episode 6 that Ruka has the most hip hop element and YG DNA in the group. In YG groups, there’s always that one rapper that knows how to hype up the audience and have natural stage presence. That is indeed Ruka and she is also the eldest who has the most experience prior to going to YGE in being in a girl group and performing on stage. Anyways, whoever is leader, leaders, or no leaders. All 7 girls have their own unique strength and talents that when put together it creates a MASTERPIECE of a group. So pls stop comparing or making things like a competition on who would do this and that. They’re going to be a versatile girl group and all members will have their time to shine depending on the music style and concept. I’m more excited for that than concern about positions.

Every team has a backbone and everything is built on this member. But all members are equally important and cannot be replaced. I think a team is like a building. Every building has a backbone that holds it together, but if you take out a single element incorrectly, the building will collapse, it doesn't matter if it has a backbone or not. And I don't think the positions matter. Several members can fill a position, be it the leader, center, etc. A position doesn't mean much and it's not a competition. These seven girls make a perfect team and are about to make their debut. I think the most important thing is that we await them with lots of love and excitement.
