Thank you so much for your video. It's the first one that made sense to me about how to attach the beads between the leather strands. The snake knot and the barrel knot was very easy to follow also.

I can't begin to tell you how many tutorials I have seen and your video is by far the best! I love how easy and detailed you were. Thank you. Im sorry you received negative comments. People don't like different or change. I applaud you for sharing your ways. I learned to cook & preserve from an older neighbor that was 80 plus years. We reused seals, canning with common sense. She would "say waste not want not"" hard day of work now is a relaxing day when colder" I also question organic and natural lables. My sister has an organic farm in Michigan-what is alouded under laws is not any better than my own back yard. I raised my kids by what I learned from my neighbor, godmother & and friends' families.

Fantastic! I’ve been wondering how to incorporate beads with the leather without using wire or really big beads that will fit over the leather. This is great. Also, the beads you are using are dyed howlite, a common stone used for imitation turquoise (I’m a lapidarist who makes jewelry as well). I like this snake knot better than the barrel knot. I always have trouble getting the barrel knots to look neat and it drives my OCD nuts. Thanks for the tip on getting the last 2 knots to look the same for my OCD! 😂

I have never seen anyone tie a snake knot like that… but it works… I normally use paracord in my weaving and have only recently changed mediums because of my rheumatoid arthritis in my left hand… the amount of hand strength needed to do paracord weaving is ten time more than working with leather or waxed cordage… I make so many things with snake knots as it my favorite decorative knot and never have I seen a snake knot tied the way you did it… it was actually kinda cool 😊 I love this bracelet and will be making it myself… I will have to get creative with the thread though…

@@BabySquirrelBeading same with me… I have to be doing something all the time… it drives me nuts to not be as active as I once was… I was hit by a man running from the police doing 125mph… my entire spine is completely fused from the base of my skull down to my pelvis… so I can’t do all the things I used to do…. I had to find new hobbies… I have always played with paracord and knots because I camped a lot and I teach scouts as well… so I started weaving paracord bracelets, making survival bracelts for the scouts and then the rheumatoid arthritis started flailing up and I had to find something a little easier som8 switched to leather and some other cordage mediums to see what I could c9me up with… I also love to play with resin and uv resin… so, I keep busy, but it’s not the same… but, at least I’m still here!

Wow that's incredible 🤓 Amazing you can do anything. I used to knit from the age of ten. Not anymore with my hands. My wife and I went to a retirement workshop and one old guy who had more energy than both of us said the key to a happy retirement is having hobbies. I'm so lucky to have found beading. It feels great connecting with people here on KZbin. What is your name and where are you? We are hoping for a quiet hurricane season here in Nova Scotia 🐿️

Hello. I don't know why but these didn't sell in my craft show. I use high quality leather and gemstones. Even made 3 row bracelets. My prices are high maybe that's why.
@BabySquirrelBeading9 ай бұрын
Hi Lorena 🤓 I'm surprised as well. I would sell these for $20 here in Nova Scotia but at least $10 more anywhere else. When I was doing craft fairs I found people were looking for idea and not gifts so not many sales. I started doing bead parties to teach people how to make their own. That was profitable. It was $30 - $40 each and I brought more supplies for people to buy. I had about 10 women so easy $300. Hope that gives you some ideas 🐿️

Ok everybody here we go!! You all can laugh if you need to but here we go. If I use 8 mm beads instead of 6 mm beads it would make the bracelet wider thus shortening the length. I figure it wouldn't affect the length by much & maybe not at all since I will have about 5 inches left on each side when using 6 mm beads. My question is how much more length would I need or would 8 mm beads affect the length enough for it to even matter since I would be using 50 inches. I wouldn't even know how to begin to figure this out mathematically but I bet you can Emma! Again as before thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. You are a wonderful teacher
@BabySquirrelBeading5 ай бұрын
The length of your bracelet won't change you will just need less beads. If you're using 6mm bead for a 7" wrist you'll need 25 beads give or take depending on your knot size. For 8mm beads same wrist size 20 beads. I hope this helps 🤓 That is a very good question. I thought I did a video with 8mm beads because I have one on my desk. I'll do one this summer. Big hugs from Nova Scotia 🐿️
