I got it! :D I was spinning it too fast on my neck. Hopefully I'll be able to go faster as i get better though! Also I found it easier to do with my shoulders bare. Sleeves = slippery!

whoa... tfw it finally clicks and you unlock a hoop move

maybe you're leaning forward at that point but not twisting, really think about dropping the oposite shoulder. the other mistake people make is when they pull their head out they try to pull their head and shoulder away from each other so their shoulder ends up flat instead of pointy. shrug your shoulder and drop your head but make sure you're not pulling your shoulder down when you go to duck out.

The karate chop switch you're refering to is a combination of breaking and what the great baxter calls paddling, I probably wont do a tutorial on them but id try looking up tutorials for something with the words "chest breaks" and "paddling ". esentially whats going on is the outside hand is changing the direction of the hoop and the hand inside the hoop pops in briefly to push on the inside of the hoop to give it more momentum. hope this helps!

hmmmm id say slow it way down and also try it with a heavier hoop, i usually do my vertical duck outs from vertical shoulder hooping and then pull most of my body out and lean wayyy to the right (for a left shoulderd duck out) I may have to look into this more.....
@babzrobinson11 жыл бұрын
I think you have the pulling your head and shoulder away from each other when you duck your head out thing going on. If its flying off your shoulder then your shoulder is too flat.

keep your shoulder up up up up and head down. when a lot of people pull their head out of the hoop they pull their shoulder away from their head as well and then hoops fly away!

I made them both, but im sure any hoop maker in your area would be able to make you something custom :)

This is a great video- I love and have learned so much from all of your videos and you are adorable. I Can do left and right shoulder duck outs no prob- and have been able to for a while but have SO SOOOOOO much trouble with verticle shoulder duck outs- any suggestions? tips ? tricks? it's like i feel like i have to get going so fast to do the vertical duck out and when i pull my head out the hoop usually just goes flying away.

Yay! finally a slow mo of shoulder duckouts. I love your tutorials, I've learned nearly everything I know from watching these! Finally learned one-legged jump-back-ins too! You should try out for electric forest hoop troupe because you would probably smoke the competition! Thanks oodles for your awesome tutorials!

I´ve been hooping for a little bit than 3months! I like the sun in Barcelona (Spain, Europe) but if I had you in the same area, I would clearly love to meet you and learn from you ;-) I wish I could learn faster to do such nice moves! Keep your happy/crazy tutorials they are all super useful to me

this helps so much! as soon as you mentioned that on the opposite shoulder , the hoop comes from behind and is not visible when we need to duck. I tried it and it flung out because I ducked when I could see it, but I remembered your wise words and I finally figured it out!!!! Thanks Babz!
