Wunderschöne und tiefempfundene Aufführung dieses perfekt komponierten Meisterwerks im relativ langsamen Tempo mit warmherzigen Tönen der historischen Orgel und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

Groningen .... Erinnerungen .... Weihnachtszeit .... Knols-Gemberkoek .... dieses Stück riecht förmlich (für mich) nach WEIHNACHTEN ... vielleicht weil ich die 5-stimmige "Schwester" damals gerade zu dieser Zeit geübt habe.... Ja -- dieses Stück duftet !!

Few other composers made accompanimental voices sound as interesting or more so than the ornamented chorale line. I have also registered this chorale setting with a 16-foot reed in the left hand, and I'd sometimes forget to begin a passage or two an octave higher than written, resulting in suddenly humorous moments -- completely out of character for such sober and serene music!
