Szymon Marciniak the sound is sooo smooth and the timbre is like cello and the changes of bow and strings and positions Are great. It all makes you sound like cello timbre and also the key is one tone higher than cello. At he end -great tone. Like your story on bradedict video shoot and your right hand is pretty interesting in this piece with a free big finger and a weights accent on middle finger, Sometimes I feel the eager to play like you do. As I understand your free finger gives you more lightweight with a bow but a little less control, am I right?

Thank again Sergei- it's nice to receive these kind comments- especially that tomorrow (6.5.) I'll play both Suites 1 and 6 live again! I'm not sure that you're referring to my thumb? Yes, I got used to release it from the stick when I need a lighter touch- it helps flexibility (also in the wrist) and articulation, I don't think it makes the bow less controllable though. Many thanks for listening!

Szymon Marciniak I study bass last two years with a cello teacher, and I tried sometimes holding a bow like cello one, and I find it more flexible and and with Bach I feel the cello type holding is more natural, and also that released big in German type is giving me a feeling like with French. Wish you a successful performance tomorrow!

For such music you're usually better off not reading sheet music, since it's so challenging
