WOW! You, sir, are the Yo Yo Ma of the double bass! This cannot be easy to do on those thick strings and so high on the fingerboard. Love love love your peformance! What resonance, and purity of tone. A brilliant interpretation and performance. Thank you!

Well you have to wait for a WHILE. This is one of the most difficult pieces for bass players and even learning just the prelude requires 100s if not 1000s of hours to play. But with that said, don’t let yours hopes go away, for a great teacher and passion can let one make beautiful music like this. Btw Fracois Rabbath’s technique books would be VERY helpful if you want your son playing Bach prelude.

Wow! Really well done. I was surprised how well he's able to make this work on the double bass. It sounds very musical and pleasant. Despite the great technical challenges, he achieves a smooth, free-flowing effect with the passage work. It's fascinating to watch the crazy contortions required of his left hand to execute some of those arpeggios.
