Is it ever possible to get tired of Bach's music, even after listening to it hundreds of times?

Unbelievable, how much beautiful music JS Bach created, you can’t stop listening, when you started it.

@@MaTT-oo8de Because this piece goes back to the beginning, it’s possible to play it over and over, in a loop, and when I’m alone (so as not to drive others crazy), I often do. It’s so beautiful.

Thanks for posting this music. Now i will say from my listening experience put in workss 2) Fugue is like the opening of a folded handkerchief which reveals it's layers slowly. 3) Romantic journey of two melodic lines.

i played this fugue along with the prelude for my final bachelor degree exams and it is deceiving, makes you think it's simple and in reality it is like taking a dive in the vast ocean. So much beauty!

Well goodness, I could listen to this on repeat all day. ❤

I first learned about this piece from you some 5 years ago. I was in awe. Still am.

My first hearing just now! It is sublimely beautiful, even for Bach. And the visuals are also stunning.

Beautiful! I was going to say I had never heard this guitar transcription before, but listening to it a second time, I do remember hearing it before. It is so beautiful. It doesn't seem like a fugue, but it is. It really suits guitar. I love that dreamy background you put in there. So good! Thank you!

The theme sounds like the incipit of a chorale melody but I forget which (if I'm not hallucinating). Very beautiful video, by the way. This fugue is wonderful, it shows a particularly endearing side of Bach's musical personality, I would say.

Recently finished the P in PFA, and moved on to learning the F last wee. I checked and was sad to see you hadn't covered it. So happy I checked a second time! Very helpful in learning to hear and separate the different voices, as with the video for BWV 998 prelude. Thank you!

You might want to also listen to the Richter performance on this (I'd played this piece for decades before I heard him play it, but it was still an eye-opener).
