J.S.Bach transcribed his own concerto. This is the BWV 1054. It is estimated that most or all of J.S.Bach's concerts for Harpsichord were originally concerts for other instruments.

Yes, the violin concert (BWV 1042) was there first.

Annibal Concha, you are right. He transcribed the concertos to make his sons play at the cafè Zimmerman (while he played violin in the orchestra ) Previously the concertos where played at the violin by Bach himself.
