Almost missed this new gem. I liked the audio for the playing of the piece at the start - sounded like traditional concert recording 'mood'. The long tutorial for this slower piece though, drags a bit, for my own taste . - Your long tuts. work fantastic with the dramatic vivid Bach pieces.... your inspiring charms bubble successfully throughout those clips. I'm hoping you'll have a few videos featuring Bach's Fughettas from his Little Preludes and Fugues > I'm sure you love a few works from that collection; like the fast ones that remind you of superwoman flying dreams :D

Hello Joe, thank you for your great words about this performance and sound quality as well as your wonderful acknowledgements about some of the other faster moving tutorials. 😊 I do agree with you that this lesson drags a bit. As I was reviewing it to see which parts I might cut out to make it move a little bit more, I concluded that all of the information would be helpful for someone wanting to learn this piece and decided to leave it as is. I'm really happy to hear your suggestions for some of the Bach Fughettas from the Little Preludes and Fugues. I have one I am working on now that I am excited about doing next year! It is a wonderful pocket of the repertoire for the intermediate level student. Thank you for your support for my work, and I send very best wishes to you. 🎵

Hello Sally, it is wonderful to hear and see you, this music is great and your videos make me feel good..when I hear Bach I imagine what it would have sounded like on harpsichord or I am reminded of Glenn Gould ..again your playing and sound is the best!
@SallyChristianMusic2 жыл бұрын
Hello Steve, thank you for your wonderful comment about the playing, the sounds, and how the videos make you feel! Your words about imagining the sounds of the harpsichord are a good reminder for us when playing Bach on the modern day piano. I often consider the keyboard instruments available to Bach: the clavichord, the harpsichord, and the organ. Which of these instruments would he have imagined for any given piece, and how do the different sound qualities of these instruments help to determine the character of each piece! 💫 Thank you also for the lovely reference to Glenn Gould. :-) Best wishes to you and with your playing. 🎵

Good morning Lady Sally. What a beautiful performance of this invention. Thank you very much. When I learn it, I will definitely come back to this guide. Probably not too soon because I failed at 13, and even more so at 14 inventions. However, I know that I will come back to them. Best regards and thank you once again for this beautiful musical moment 🌻🥀

Hello Robert, oh, thank you for your wonderful and heartfelt words! It means so much to me that you resonated with this piece and with the performance. I do hope you will learn it one day. Please do not be discouraged by your experiences with Inventions No. 13 & 14. These are very difficult to play well for different reasons. I think you will have a positive experience when you begin to learn Invention No. 11. I'm happy you will refer to this lesson guide when the time is right to begin the process! With very best wishes to you and with your playing! 💕

@@SallyChristianMusic So far I've managed to do inventions 1 and 6, so I know I can do it. Unfortunately, I got stuck. But it's nothing. I try to play easier Bach pieces and they even slowly come out. If I manage to record, I will be proud of it. Yours sincerely :)

@@robertdepiano That's great! You have the right approach playing pieces that are within your current level. Inventions 1, 6, & 11 will make a nice grouping for you.
