This man has a gift. It takes so much brainpower to operate three different manuals plus a pedalboard, especially with the grace and precision that he does. As a trombone player, I have a great deal of respect for people who have to deal with playing two or three melodic lines at once because it is not an easy task. Kinda makes me wish I learned how to play piano.

What a heavenly feeling of heavenly exaltation! Bach was a practicing Christian, all his musical creation was composed for the church, being responsible for liturgical music and choir. Fantastic how much work power, how much inspiration. It is said that you need a life to listen to all his musical creation! How much joy when I hear this music of divine inspiration, how much sadness when the church benches are empty, not just on recordings but even on Sundays!

One element missing from the discussion, and perhaps from consciousness, is the original Trost well temperament that the organ builder built into the pipes. The Walterhausen organ’s original temperament was restored in 1998 leaving a tuning with 106 different intervals. Each key is more radically different than every other key, when compared with other tunings used in the Baroque. It’s reason enough to hear heaven in the performance by Mr. Stamm, who wisely stayed out of the way of the beauty of the music, much as a pianist must play Mozart. My congratulations to a performer who has helped Johann Sebastian Bach’s music transcend in the new century. (This tuning has 11 different semitones!)

Орган, есть орган.. Именно такой, духовой орган называют королем музыкальных инструментов. Не только из-за сложности и размеров приближающихся к размерам и сложности орбитальной станции, но из-за его неподражаемого звука. Съимитировать такой на синтезаторе или нереально, или овчинка не стоит выделки. И это хорошо в наше время эрзацев и суррогатов.
