I am not a flutist nor a organist, but this is obviously done at a stratospheric level of mastery and skill. Most of the renditions of this piece here on youtube are amateurish, a few are solidly professional, and this one sits quote above. This one represents a display of proficiency not only in the dominion of the piece and of the instruments but of the whole musical sensibility. Impressive. But I'm quite sure that no level of praise or social reinforcement would amount to the sensations attained through producing this, so don't mind me...

Loved it, despite being philosophically perplexed by that much rubato. Musically impressive overall, thank you both for such a jewel!

@@msimom27 There is no "best" but "best for you", especially the headjoint according to your form of chin and jaw, and way of playing. I would try Mehnert, Harry Gosse and Bernhard Hammig: the german tradition is especially good in wooden flutes.

The very best thing is the duet-like balance between the organ and flute! Not as achievable with harpsichord in my opinion.
