@@ingwerschorle_ yeh true he was a religious guy, but he also had some behavioural problems too. Wunderbare Inszenierung! Feinster Humor!
@feuersalamander83315 жыл бұрын
@feuersalamander83315 жыл бұрын

Bach may have had been a very caring father, but alas it wasn't enough. He was known for being a very harsh man - and clearly not someone you wanted to cross. His love for his children could not keep them from dying or going astray. Then again, he lived in the bad old 18th century, when Europe was only just beginning to realise the value of science and technology, the which had been used to improve gunpowder weapons through trial and error by the European "warfare state" for almost five centuries.

You should allow community contribution to add subtitles and translations. I’d be glad to participate. These gems cantatas and passions by Bach are so much more enjoyable when one can follow along the text. The text is brought to life by the music, and the meaning reinforce the music. I went to listen to St John and St Matthew passions a few times in the local concert hall, and the experience with the surtitles and without is without comparison. You understand the sorrow of Mary, Jesus speaking to the crowd. It’s unfathomably touching and beautiful. Bach brought to these stories something no one had been able to before him. And one really misses out when there is no text to follow along.

That music in that final chorus is so... musical! The tenor shines through particularly in that chorus. While I haven't yet heard another performance of this work I want to already say that this is the best rendition out there! Excellent acting from Ms Chartin... note something as detailed as the facial expression for an handful of seconds starting at 23:15.

Liesgen Zgoda! Byłem tylko kawę miała. Schlendrian Ależ głuptas z mej córeczki! Nie sprawię ci na fiszbinach Rozszerzanej sukieneczki. Liesgen Łatwo na to ja przystanę. Schlendrian Nie będziesz mogła w oknie stać By z przechodniów mieć zabawę! Liesgen To też, lecz daj się ubłagać I pozostaw mi mą kawę! Schlendrian Nie dostaniesz też z mej ręki Ni srebrnej, ni złotej wstęgi By czepek przyozdobić!
