Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
2 medium-sized onions, sliced
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt (or as per taste)
500g skinless chicken
2 tbsp yogurt (curd)
1 tbsp Garam Masala powder
1 cup water
Fresh coriander leaves
Instructions:
Step 1: Sautéing Aromatics
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
Add sliced onions and sauté for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
Add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
Step 2: Adding Tomatoes and Spices
Toss in chopped tomatoes and sauté for an additional minute.
Add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, and 1 tsp salt.
Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes until tomatoes become soft and mushy.
Step 3: Introducing Chicken
Add 500g of skinless chicken and mix thoroughly. Cook for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Yogurt and Garam Masala
Pour in 2 tbsp of yogurt and mix well.
Add 1 tbsp Garam Masala powder.
Pour in 1 cup of water, adjust salt as needed.
Mix thoroughly, cover with a lid, and let it cook for 9-10 minutes on medium flame.
Step 5: Finishing Touch
Once the chicken has absorbed all the flavors, add a bunch of fresh coriander leaves.
Mix well, and your delightful Chicken Curry is ready to be served!
