Rachel was made to feel crazy in their relationship which Matt CONTROLLED. Perfect example of MANipulation is when you were the one upset w/his behavior and by the end he made it like you were crazy & you wind up apologizing. Matt didn’t listen, he did what HE wanted regardless of what she asked for/needed. He wasn’t a comforting presence but the cause of her anxiety. She thinks he’s her best friend but he isn’t. He’s not a bad guy but he’s got a lot of work to do on himself.

Exactly,it's emotional abusive and he really did do her s favor & men like this don't break up with women who take their emotional abuse like this ,they actually prefer these victims so mark my words he has another waiting in the winds for him and was planning to leave her for ,so this was his route . He did get a favor, she will realize that later and unfortunately is probably going to need therapy from that relationship to see it that it wasn't love it was manipulation and emotionally abusive if you feel not ok to cry even 2 tears in from of your partner. How sad this is you don't feel comfortable to do that ,cause he mockked her for it .

Thank you for touching on the ICE raids happening! I spent 2 weeks on an immigration awareness experience at the US/Mexico border and shared meals, conversation and lived with migrants who are seeking refuge from violence in their countries. Our immigration system is a deeply flawed one- making folks wait years for immigration hearings that may never happen. Many of the people I connected with were women and their children escaping extortion, political and domestic violence in their home countries. I would urge everyone with an opinion to first educate themselves and spend time in border-cities/connecting with migrants in their communities before spreading hate!

@@sharonbutler2772 it sounds like you have a concern of “fairness” here… can you say more about that? I encourage reading this article that shows the average immigration wait time was 5 years and 8 months as of 2018, that time has only increased in 2025. Given that wait time, what solution do you propose a woman and her young children should take if it is a matter of life and death and facing extreme violence and persecution? What would you do in her situation? It is a misconception that people are entering the country undocumented because they’re taking the “easy way out” or “cheating”. That is far from the case when we have a system designed for people to fail. I enjoy having these conversations to learn more about where people are coming from!

I am an emotional person, and since becoming a mama to 2 boys, I am STILL emotional at things, and my husband has learned ways to support me when I get emotional, and he certainly doesn’t think of leaving me when I get that way. I was almost triggered hearing Matt say he had second thoughts after she was being emotional because that is not fair or right to judge if someone will be a good future spouse or parent due to their emotions. If he loves her, he would work with her, pray with her, and pray FOR her to try to manage emotions better, but even if she NEVER did, that still doesn’t deem her unworthy as a spouse.

Hi Dave, big fan of your show. You may not read this, but on the issue of deportations. I came to this country as legal immigrant. I had to go through numerous interviews and paperwork just to enter. Then I had to pay around $4000 for applications fees to apply for green card eventually. Your first green card is good only for 3 years then you have to reapply and pay additional fees for new one. In total the path to eventually getting my US citizenship took 7 years, $8000 (only fees as I did not use immigration lawyer), I had to demonstrate good will for the country, learn its history and language which is required by the US Government. So when I eventually earned the trust of this country and pledged myself as proud citizen it meant something. To support illegal immigration is disrespecting all legal immigrants as I once was. Also it allows for many bad actors to harm people in this country. Now I think we all agree that illegal immigrants with prior or current criminal records should be deported immediately. Coming into this country illegally is a federal crime. Now question is why previous administration allowed this on massive scale when we have process in place. I am not sure if immediate deportation is the best solution but I think those people have to immediately take an action and go through the immigration process and pay those fees and go through the venting process and paperwork and not just bypass it. No other developed county has no sanction for entering illegally and you would be deported on a spot. I know we are founded on immigration but that should not negate having legal process in place. They are numerous non profit immigration lawyers to help with the process and fees to start the process. People are coming here with no intention to learn the language or be a good citizen nor do the care for the country. Again that’s part of the legal process and people who are not demonstrating that are declined to be naturalized. Please note the Asylum seekers have different process and to my knowledge are not subjected to the deportation initiatives. I believe asylum seekers should be protected and received utmost care. I know this is long but it’s a complicated issue. I want to bring you different point of view. Enjoy your work and wish all the best

The fact that birthright citizenship is being targeted proves that the issue is not really illegal immigration but, in fact, legal immigration. The problem with illegal immigration is the law. Why not make it easier to come legally? It also doesn't justify the dehumanization of undocumented immigrants and hispanic-looking people (Americans and legal immigrants) being racially profiled.

@@venezianavarro7928 Thank you for you reply. The system is deeply flawed no doubt, we need to make it easier but also enforce it. I don’t condone open the ‘gates’ and free for all we see that is not the way to go and it hurts the immigrants the most for various reasons. It’s a fine line to walk as humanitarian view vs legal view. I don’t think we have the answers to what is best yet through out multiple administrations. I have not investigated into birthright citizenship adjustments. From what I heard is to limit to giving it to people who are not permanently in the US and have baby here while visiting etc.I reserve my judgment on that until I understand it better.

Just missing the point… The administration doesn’t like legal or illegal immigrants. They are just using you guys to go against each other. And no matter how pale your skin is, they will never see you as equal human beings. That’s why they deport the way they do and threaten to throw your kids in the system. And it’s working. Nah, Matt was ready to breakup with Rachel. It couldn't have been that one situation in Japam, in my opinion. Especially if he told her a few day prior that he saw her as his wife and they were talking about kids. He probably fell out of love or passion for her. or maybe he saw things he didn't like. Either way, he kept them to himself and just left her to his thoughts. He should've told her what he didn't like from the moment it happened. Whatever it was. But maybe he kept it all inside, festered on it, them decided to end it. It caused Rachel to feel blindsided (because she was) when in reality Matt was thinking about a breakup for a while but didn't express his concerns.

16:26 I think the major issue with Selena Gomez is that her empathy is extremely selective. It only mattered when it affected her or people closer to her. She had no true empathy for Palestinians, in fact, she was on the opposite side; she displayed empathy for the oppressors/occupiers and then took that down and went dead silent when she received backlash and was presented with factual information. I'm not saying her empathy is misplaced here, it's just selective; people don't "F" with this sort of BS anymore. We are devolving into fascism and we shouldn't be at each other's throats(as the machine would like) but we should also all be supporting each other, not just one way support when it's convenient for someone. In the same way that people are done with anyone who has decided to believe the smear campaign coordinated with the media by Blake Lively against Justin Baldoni, people are done with this "empathy for me and situations close to me and my interests* and not for thee" thing that's going on here. We want the trod upon to have support and succeed, no matter the situation. We're sick and tired of "the hoi palloi, the little guys", getting pushed around by "the aristocracy, the big guys, the machine" in general, and it's just plain annoying when celebrities insert themselves into situations selectively this way. Rage against the machine, guys. It's long overdue.

@joanne8084 Күн бұрын
@@teresas.4541 you can’t even legally work here until you’re 16 yrs old. There are children who rely on those free breakfast & lunches as their only food source for the entire day. Also as someone who really struggled for a while whilst my youngest was in preschool & my eldest kid was in high school and needed assistance until I found a job that made me enough money to get off assistance, I know that when my high schooler got her first job and was excited to be able to buy herself clothes but then found out I had to report her income, which was hardly anything, and that caused us to lose most of our assistance & they expected us to use her income to support all of us which left her with no money at all left over which is sad for a kid who thought they were just going to earn themselves some money of their own, and therefore she couldn’t even afford her lunches herself with a job. So hearing pompous jerks nonchalantly speaking about kids having to work to pay for their food really irks me. He did not specify that he meant just older teens either. I’m willing to bet he was working to gain job experience and buy himself things & his parents wanting him to learn those lessons, not because he had to work to help support his family as a lot of underprivileged children have to do sadly.

I don't know, but he could have replaced her. That movie didn't need "Blake Lively". I think there was much going on there behind the scenes. Maybe Ryan Reynolds got jealous. I think he detected something in their interactions that made him uncomfortable. Blake got very demanding, even about rewriting his movie. Weird things for an actor to do, IMO.

Rachael K. is lucky to get out of that relationship. It sounds like he controlled everything. When people decide to get married don't they generally discuss it together and then decide together to get married? It's 2025 folks, women don't wait around for men to propose. The fact that she seems to have been doing that is a mark that he had huge manipulative control over her. Also her story reveals how insincere his breakup post was. Come on, calling on God? He wasn't torn up about it. It sounds like he'd been planning that breakup conversation for some time. Good luck to Rachael, she is better off without that manipulator.

Ugh… reminds me of my ex …. Was with him for 5 years gave everything to that relationship only for him to promise marriage and never deliver or even show he was capable of being independent from his parents I hear he’s still in their basement it’s been 20 years. M Yes we were young but he was also abusive. One it’s taking advantage of someone to make promises you can’t keep. Lead them into something they are ultimately not getting. I feel so bad for her. Definitely team Rachel on this one.

Are we forgetting all the racism issues Rachael faced? She wasn’t always clean & perfect either. None of us are. He chose to work through it with her & forgave her. Had he not been there for her; she would have been cancelled to this day. And hated on. He def messed up with the break up post. People need to chill & have some compassion. This interview was so unnecessary to share 1 week after a break up. Leave it private. Work through it privately. He never went on a podcast to bash her years ago. But don’t forget we’re all human. We all mess up. Boy do we all love to hate in our society. If people were to pick apart our lives - not one of us would walk away clean.

Based on what Rachael stated, it sounds like they stayed in the relationship far too long and it was a business more so than a relationship. I’m curious to hear from Matt. I’m sure there is more to this break-up than we have heard. Going on the HUGE podcast “Call Her Daddy” isn’t the way to keep the break-up private/give time to heal…kind of calculating. But, then again, not speaking, she probably would never receive peace from friends and/or foes. If Matt doesn’t refute or respond, and just goes on his own way, he’s a gentleman.

First I want to say, I love your show. I have a slightly different perspective on the illegal immigrant issue. My husband and his family are here illegally. My husband fortunately has been able to get a green card, but he did come here illegally when he was 6 years old with his family. His family has been here 20+ years and they've never committed a crime. They are wonderful church going people. BUT. They are here illegally, and that was and is a crime. They know they are not rightfully entitled to being here. They are prepared to be sent back home and grateful for the time they've gotten away with being here. They for the majority of the years they lived here worked under the table and have not paid taxes as we as citizens would be required. The reality is that no country should waive their sovereignty or laws that protect their national security. Are they dangerous criminals or doing harm? Not directly, but indirectly absolutely. We have law and order for a reason and if our immigration policies need reform, let's handle this issue that way. But the answer is not green lighting circumventing the legally processes that many others are trying to navigate.

Rachel for the next Bachelorette!!! And If she is that worried about influencing for food I think she definitely would consider this ! Especially since she went to the biggest podcast for Interview! I honestly think if she is this sensitive and he isn't supportive at all about her feelings that he was probably mentally abusive women that deal with A* like this is usually triggered easily and cry easily and the fact that he mocks it ,is also a sign of one that emotionally abuses ! He broke up with her like ripping off a bandaid so guaranteed he has someone waiting in the winds for him ! He could not wait to post about it without giving her grace to even breath to process this ,ugh she definitely dodged a bullet ! She needs to know she is better off without this A**

It’s a fine line between appeasing and enabling. It seems like we’ve reached the other end of the extreme spectrum with Baldoni coming out with all these sensitive audio and video replies. I’m not saying that he cannot defend himself. By all means he should, but I feel like he’s really over compensating. We get it. You’re the sweet sensitive one and lively is the monster. I honestly think he is bordering on love bombing because he’s unable to tell her exactly how he feels. Just my thoughts.

Def! Sorry - wasn’t clear. I meant before with the voice note. The voice note was before this all came out. It just seems they were knowingly or unknowingly manipulating each other in different ways to stay in control. Overly appeasing and taking on 100% of the fault for things that happened (on tape no less), leaves no room for honest communication and borders on either emotionally appealing to her or not being able to be honest face to face. She is def at fault for her terrible approach to this situation. I do believe, at this point, he has clearly made his point, has evidence and support from public. Let the rest play out in court. Just my thoughts.

@@Marce44ful It seems like at this point, he is clearly being manipulated by Blake. She talked about how she was supposedly treated in past projects by previous directors and Justin went out of his way to apologize for that (something he was not at all responsible for). You should stay out of politics. ILLEGAL is ILLEGAL, COME IN THR RIGHT WAY like many before them. Any celebrity setting up their camera to CRY is doing absolutely nothing but virtue signaling. She’s worth over a BILLION dollars, she should send money down to “her people” and help them create the life they’re seeking. I’m officially done with your channel. You’re a slimy, one sided fool.
