I’m getting it done as well. I was scheduled for Jan 15th at Mass Eye & Ear but I’m still recovering from a different surgery so I had to reschedule. I can’t wait to have it done. I know a lot of people who have had it done and it’s life changing if you have sight problems.

@@ChristineH28 I don't have sight problems but I developed dermatitis on my eyelids 10 years ago and it has really aged my lids! I'm doing upper & lower but Dr just thinks I need a skin pinch on the lower.. both of my parents had blephs so knew I'd do one eventually! I've done lots of CO2 laser & morpheus on my lids and I think I've kinda maxed out the tightening I can get from non surgical treatments.

My neurologist said my medical insurance would cover a blepharospasy if the sagging starts to impact my vision, sometimes this isn't even just cosmetic. but I also get medical Botox for migraines... Even with United healthcare🤣 but would NOT get Botox if I didn't need it medically. I feel like a pin cushion every 12 weeks

@ I’ll definitely update when I have the surgery. I was scheduled for January 15th but I have another serious surgery that has multiple phases and I thought I was done and found out I needed 1 more phase. Once that’s completed I will absolutely schedule the eyes. I can’t see at night at all (driving) and my sight during the day is worse and the drooping eyes are horrible.

There is a clear cookie cutter look people have after this surgery. Because it is usually done on much older women our brains associate it with age. She is very pretty but I feel that she is very hard on herself and keeps tweaking things that don't need fixing.

They don't actually sew your eyelid back together though. They basically solder it back together. I used to work for cosmetic surgeons and got to watch my boss get that surgery under local anesthesia. It's quick and easy. Also, the video you showed talks about upper and lower blepharoplasty.

I had this surgery a year ago so I could see better was done by eye surgeon. I had stiches on my lids and she also had to cut my eye brows to raise them. I was under general anesthesia not painful but looked horrific where eyebrows were raised. She did not go through forehead as it does not last. I do have scars but brows cover and can still feel where stiches were in eyelid creases. Honestly I don’t think I’d ever get done if I didn’t need to see better, I’m only 50 and did not look old. A year later they do not look as good as after surgery. My sister just had lids done didn’t last they drooped :(

I think this is an amazing surgery for people who need it for vision reasons!! Thank goodness for plastic surgeons, they help us so much. I think it’s kind of dumb to get it done just for cosmetics, but whatever. People need to spend less time looking in the mirror.

I was confused when Dave mentioned she said this was her FIRST actual plastic surgery b/c I'm sure I recall her saying (& you can see) she had a brow lift/mini brow lift post being Bachelorette...like maybe in her mid to late 20's? I (& my mom) thought she looked so cute & like a girl-next-door but also unique & probably like her family! Her business. But there can also be this comparison game mind-f...to fix certain areas of the face or body to fit the current popular norm or "perfect" face. But then you look like a production belt, cookie cutter copy of others. A fine line between looking YOUR best vs. like everyone else that's had same surgeries. Heidi Montag is one example...pre & post a bunch of surgeries.

She’s never had this before. She got Botox with the goal to lift her eyebrows, thus lifting her eye skin as well. I got Botox done for my hooded eyelids and it helped a lot.

It’s extremely helpful to people who have eyesight problems, like myself. My insurance does cover it. They get puffier as the day goes on and it affects my sight, especially when driving.

@christinehaydon1745 oh wow. I didn't know that it was actually helpful for puffy eyes. ETA, I didn't watch the video so if it was mentioned in the video that the work done was not purely cosmetic but functional also I missed out on that.

@@skbluee it was mentioned in the video. I actually dm’d her because I’m really nervous about the surgery. When it comes to anything with my eyes, it freaks me out. But, if I want to be able to see and drive, especially at night, I have to have the surgery. It completely blocks the vision in my lower left eye and that’s exactly what Kaitlyn said in her video. So, I totally understand that. I also understand why people would think it’s a cosmetic surgery. If you personally don’t have the problem, it’s hard to understand why someone would do that. The video that Dave posted is only the second day out of her surgery, I was so happy to see that because I was expecting it to be so much worse than it actually is. I honestly appreciated that she shared that with us. But I totally understand why you said what you said because you don’t have that eye problem and it’s understandable.

So I'm glad that Kaitlyn's video has given you some confidence in the results. Hope 🙏🏻 you have it and it helps your vision. Can imagine it must be quite frustrating. ❣️

Nothing stops the aging process so she will have many surgeries as she is older.
