'Bachelorette' Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya talk relationships ups and downs days before breakup
ABOUT: The former couple, who met on season 18 of "The Bachelorette," announced Friday via separate statements posted to their Instagram Stories that they were going their separate ways, ending their engagement after less than a year. Young's season of the long-running reality series aired its finale in December 2021, showing Olukoya's proposal.
"I'm struggling to say that Nayte and I will be going our separate ways but I stand with him in knowing the heaviness that is present in both of our hearts as this relationship has been very real for us," Young began in her statement.
"To you, Nayte, you quickly became my best friend and the love I have for you is incredibly strong. I will never stop wanting to see you succeed," she continued. "I will always acknowledge and appreciate the adventures, support, and growth both Nayte and this experience have brought me. At the same time, I'm deeply hurting and will need time and space to work through this heartbreak."

They did not break up at this point. Michelle thinks everything is ok ( every couple has fights), and he knows he is done. Yet, waiting for her to leave to dump her over phone. He seems so distant and irritated like he already has decided but has no courage.

Now that Nayte has done his interview, he was definitely side tracked in whatever occurred before WangoTango. I think from the start, Michelle & Nayte really weren’t a match. In my opinion she forced the relationship. It never felt natural, it always felt like he was eye candy to her and she wanted it to work due to possibly physically attraction first. Nayte told her exactly what he wanted, she didn’t listen. Further more, she didn’t see the situation clear because she was looking at potential & not reality.

My God! I knew in my heart this relationship had issues. Nayte body language, chewing gum which I never saw in any of their pics but Michelle was pushing the narrative that all was well. They looked fabulous in matching colour outfits but Nayte was not in the mood or interested in the interview. After Nayte’s interview with Nick Viall my suspensions were correct. This relationship had a lot of love but Michelle & Nayte would have to step back & work on their communication and keep the relationship a bit private. Love them together as a couple and sad to see my country man Nayte first Real Love fell apart. I fed tears after Nayte’s interview. 🙏🇨🇦

What is she faking? He is one faking. They did not break up at this point. Poor girl probably thinks they had fight and all is good and he is done with her and she will find out about on phone. For all of you who are defending this guy. I hope one day your fiance will broke up with you by “being said without being said” lol. On your bday week and over phone and later spill all dirt. He is not saying she is not trustworthy BUT…He is not trying to insult her but he needs partner not coach. Well he did insult her all by playing innocent and she took high road and did not even told press how he dumped her. Instead being thankful to her for not making him look really really bad, he used that fact againts her and he is trashing her but on so manipulative way. Praising her while giving us dirty laudry. Come on. That way he is trying to look good and she looks like bad one. I remember on show how he told her he has nothing against being called out for behavior ( anyone remeber that?) and now he is trying to tell us she is coach. Well she is good one. He is one who did not want to move in ( what a surprise) and spends most time partying on IG. He probably liked her but he was never serious about her and his family know that would happen. She did not deserved this.
