Story 2: it’s normal to leave medication with grandparents. It’s not normal for your grandparents to give your child medication you don’t approve of or know nothing about. The comments trying to blame them for leaving Motrin need to touch grass. Motrin helps if a kid gets sick out of no where. If you stated you don’t want it near your kid, you as grandparents honor THAT.

You can tell AITA is full of kids with that comment about being suspicious about leaving medicine with babysitter. My kids' diaper bags ALWAYS had ibuprofen and Tylenol as a default bag item.

They are grown ups, all you can do is tell people your concerns about their safety. If they choose to ignore you, that's on them. And I don't think this is a matter of "not sticking with the bride through thick and thin" but just refusing to go into a dangerous and ABSOLUTELY AVOIDABLE situation with them.

in story 1, i sometimes get a strong feeling when stuff are about to go south, i usually end up being right and i always tell my friends that i don't feel right about things and if they don't agree then i just leave alone and try get updates to make sure everyone is safe.

The people asking about the parents in story 2 sending medication with their child for a few overnight stays.....do other people NOT do that? If my kids go to my in laws place even just overnight, I'll pack children's paracetamol in case of a fever. That's what good parents do. They stay prepared. My in laws only live at most a 10 minute drive from us and a 15 minute at most drive from the nearest pharmacy but we pack everything our son or daughter might need so my in laws don't have to go out to get it. We're the parents. It's our job. Tf is wrong with some of these people?

With 3 kids myself, I pack Motrin, Benadryl, first aid, hell alcohol and witch hazel, because and fellow me here, they're f*cking kids and anything could go wrong, it sure as hell did when I was a kid

The people replying to op's comments about him leaving medicine clearly don't have kids, and rightfully so shouldn't. Every parent packs children's Tylenol or ect when they take them or leave them with someone. Same ideas when you go somewhere you probably pack medicine with you IN CASE!

Story 1 those girls were not good friends, i went on a girl's trip before and when we hung out with a group of guys that wanted us to hang out in their hotel room and one of the girls felt uncomfortable we all agreed that she was more important than a group of guys who we just met and went back to our hotel

Story 1: imo, OP leaving is the only reason no one got hurt or worse. If they all went, no one would know where they were or who they were with and they’d be isolated on a yacht in a foreign country with strangers. With OP gone, now not only did someone know their face, but also where they were and where they lived (if the place wasn’t rented). Her leaving made the group a less appealing target and likely saved them from a worse situation.

Story 1 those men were up to something asking her if she’s a virgin. They were going for her not the other girls that’s why they didn’t see it. Until she left and they knew they wasn’t going to be able to get her! Then they started showing their true colors to the others!

You can always tell when someone comments about parenting and are not a parent at all. I rarely went out with my husband when our kids were little. If I left my kiddos with my parents for any reason, even for just a day, we left everything they may possibly need. You might take them to the pool? Bathing suits are there, floaties included. Even when the weather is warm or cold, we pack for the opposite incase it changes out of nowhere. Pack diapers for a week (even for the day), incase something upsets their tummy and they get diarreah. Always pack medicine incase they suddenly show symptoms of being ill. Insurance cards incase of emergencies. They’d take them and we will meet them there. We even went as far as having a notarized document stating that our parents are the caregivers in our absence. If anything happens to us, it’s our wish that our parents keep/care for them if we end up in the hospital. You’d think they were going out of town for whole week based on what I packed. It is possible for parents to overpack/overplan for the just in cases.

In story 2, people who commented are clearly not parents, or at least I sure hope not. Every time you leave your kids with someone, specially a baby, you leave them with the basics. That means, medicine, diapers, everything.

The friends like this you really got to pay close attention to if you uncomfortable about a scenario that can lead to God knows what and your friends talking about you're the bad guy for walking out but they try to justify being around these creepy people in my personal opinion if something were to happen to the bride it would have been for being put in this situation

Why do bachelorette parties even exist? Why are you partying like there's no tomorrow with anyone other than your partner and treating your marriage like a death sentence? Why aren't you celebrating with your S.O instead the fact you'll be married? Most bachelorette parties i see are women just making stupid choices without their men around and taking the opportunity to wh*re about without any consequences, what kind of culture sees this as a good thing? OP did the right thing cutting out those women, they're really bad influence, and i personally feel bad for the guy marrying the Bride as he is 100% guaranteed to get cheated on later down the line. Props to the boyfriend for coming to get OP although i believe she shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with, so many bad things could've happened. Stuff like that doesn't happen to you UNTIL IT DOES, always good to keep that in mind and be careful. Seriously though, it really makes no sense why this is even a thing, you should be celebrating the person you'll spend the rest of your life with not seeking cheap thrills that will ruin your relationship.
