Bachmann is releasing WHO? 2023 TTTE OO, N, & 009 NEW Releases!

Bachmann releasing Beau is the most American thing they could've ever done. It kind of makes sense because Bachmann is an American company, so it would make sense they make an American character. But the question is, where did the hype come from for Beau of all characters? Beau, a character that literally only appeared for 15 minutes in BWBA, is now getting a proper OO Bachmann model. Why haven't we gotten a product from Bachmann like Diesel 10, or Murdoch, or hell even Sam the Virginian Blue Ridge from the Thomas Wooden Railway Storytime Collection line. Honestly if Bachmann did either Diesel 10 or Murdoch, they would sell out within 15 minutes, I can guarantee it. I'm not mad, it's just baffling

I mean they could have also made the likes of Porter or Timothy (not that fan made creepypasta character, I mean the oiled fueled steam engine from season 18) since they had more screen time than beau or even that season 12 character Hank along with the hopper car character Hector from season 11. Having a movable object like that would be problematic to a model train engine. Hell I bet you that's also a similar reason for why we never got harvey yet, his removable crane arm would have served as an issue. As for the Character Sam, he was never in the CGI main series so he is never going to happen. I do agree that murdoch should be made and would sell better than beau BUT if you really want a seller you should ask for Hiro. He's a major fan favorite and he did also serve as the gateway for japanese customers.

Likely won't happen, Bachmann has a contract stating they can only make models of characters based on there CGI appearance hence why every model made by the company after Duck is cgi based

Honestly think that's pretty cool news. I know Rebecca wasn't the most well-received character, but I am a fan of the Battle of Britain class locomotive, and I'm also quite fond of her yellow and red stripe livery, so its genuinely quite exciting to have Bachmann bringing their level of detail to some official merchandise. Now if only I had the budget for such things.

I’m probably the only one who thinks this, but I actually unironically like Rebecca. Don’t get me wrong her introduction was half assed but I blame that more to Mattel’s last-minute decisions. Personality wise, I like her. Her happy and optimistic character may be nothing special in the context of the watered-down Big World, Big Adventures, but if the engines were allowed to be a little mean-spirited like in the original books and earlier seasons Rebecca‘s optimistic nature would be something more noteworthy and allow her to stand out.

You are not alone, my friend. She's a bit bland in cannon, but she has great bones, and I love how she's a good foil for nearly every major character. There is so much potential there. You can contrast here inexperience with Edward's wisdom, her humility with Gordon and James's pride, her innocent kindness with Diesel's whole deal, etc. She's just completely unique withing the official Thomas content, and I also find her gentle cheery kindness nice in contrast to other engines that either take themselves too seriously, or take nothing seriously (at least in their Mattel interpretations).

Finally, I'm actually seeing people who also thinks the same way and have the same heartwarmingly positive thoughts and opinions about Rebecca, literally one of the few characters I actually genuinely love and admire in the recent seasons while thinking I was probably the only who does and she undoubtedly has great potential to be a really interesting and lovable character as one of the main cast and I actually want her to be a part of the steam team permanently, just as much as Edward and Henry. I don't approve of how they made her serve merely as a replacement for Edward and not as a great addition to the main cast in the show with a respectable entrance that isn't rushed, and that's why I can still agree and acknowledge that her character has flaws or was flawed considering she didn't receive any proper character development and story or backstory she needs in which I blame Mattel or the Writers of her Character for. I genuinely respect and admire her sweet innocence, kindness, and optimism she expresses towards the characters especially to engines like Diesel who's the opposite of Kind and is mostly mean all the time and I can say thar their chemistry together along with all the other characters she interacted with worked pretty well and was kind of entertaining to watch a Kind-hearted Rebecca interact with a Mean Diesel and actually having a really great impact and influence on them which is what makes her really Unique and Interesting in my Perspective and an adorable silly big engine too, almost like the complete counterpart of Thomas himself, but as a Female and even Bigger, yet also more Sweet, Kinder, and Adorable, and slower to Anger. I can wholegeartedly admit, that Rebecca while just being a happy-go-lucky character and nothing more, she still holds potential as a character and is currently my Latest and one of my Most Favourite Characters in the series, and she has admirably great influence and impact on the characters in the show.

I honestly don’t really have a problem with Bachmann making Rebecca. She’s basically one of the main characters at this point and she was one of the few things I liked from the BWBA era. Both her and Nia (which Id like to see Bachmann do as well) As for Beau you’ve pretty much summed it up well. They already have a 4-4-0 tooling that they’ve used several times for engines like Jupiter so it’s a cheap and easy way to get some more green off the Thomas brand for them.

I actually really like Rebecca, mostly because I was initially exposed to her via a fan adaptation, and actually got back into the main show because I wanted to see how much of that came from the show. Mattel's Rebecca has good bones, and I love how she acts as a foil to almost every other major character in some way, and the fan interpretations of her that I've seen have generally been amazing. I will fully admit, though, that most of my love for Rebecca comes from the fact that I might have never known about the Brenner era if she didn't get me back into the show.

I too would like to see an HO scale Bachmann Hiro. The fact he hasn't been made yet after 13 years later since his introduction in hero of the rails is blasphemy. Not only would he be a great seller but this character would also be a gate way for customers in japan who are probably looking for an HO scale D51 looking locomotive. Also getting Victor and Kevin to round out the hero of the rails characters would be great.

Well in a sense of it all really this will be the second American Locomotive from the Thomas and friends TV series and movies that would’ve ever been released to a model form. The first one was Rosie which she was designed as a 1943 S100 0-6-0. If we see the design of Timothy in the future he would definitely be a very unique design and he would also be the third American Thomas and friends Locomotive to be a model as well.

As a budget modeler most British locomotives aren't cheap to get here in the USA and I loved the west country class since I saw one as a kid on TV so even though I don't like Rebecca's colors it nice to see this class of locomotive be easier to get ahold of state wise Edit: if it was life or death. The only company that has D51 tooling for both HO & N scales is Kato, so Bachmann would either need to negotiate with them or just buy them out to just get the tooling

Still weirded out by the decision to do Beau of all characters, but for me, Rebecca’s a good choice for Bachmann. I’m one of the few people who actually likes her (or rather thinks that she has potential to be a good character) and I think this is going to turn out nice if Daisy and Peter Sam are anything to go by.
