Bachmann has really come a long ways since the 80's and 90's, their new stuff is as good as anyone else on the market today.

Brand new to the hobby. Just got ripped of by a local shop. Sold me a 1970s Bachmann F9 thats louder than all get out. Thing was still brand new wrapped in plastic and told me is was just a few years old. I have learned not to trust them and will be getting one of these to replace the engine. Thanks for the video it was perfect info that I needed!

Thinking about buying one these. I had the much older set and the locomotives were louder.

You should seriously check out Bachmann’s latest GP-40. In all honesty, they look and run better than my latest Atlas GP’s.
