Bachmann Redesign HO Scale James the Red Engine review

Splendid review! The Bachmann James (2002 version) is my least favorite model, but now with the new and improved model, it looks really good, and definitely much more accurate to the TV Series. I still prefer the Hornby model of James (even though the range is now discontinued), but now with this new model, it still looks good, so I'm definitely buying that!

Honestly, the fact that they didn't bother to recolour the smoke box is absurd

The other differences between these 2 James's tenders, is that; the coal load in the old version was dusty. Where is the new version of the coal, is cleaned and crisped. And the number 5s are similar, except, the yellow on the number 5 is brighter than the original.

Imo not much has changed as I hoped. Was hoping for a much better face mostly and separately fitted hand rail on his boiler but oh well.
