@@DeedeeandtheBeebee They're both great it's just with Lionel James it's hard to find him at a good price and with Lionel James you want to find him with his original box because 95% of the time when someone has him for sale without the box there's usually something wrong with him but Lionel James is definitely worth finding him when you can find him with his original box and at a good price and Bachmann James is also very well worth picking up usually you can find Bachmann James at well under retail price so getting back when James is not hard at all but all in all there both great!!!!

G scale track is very expensive - the Bachmann track is cheaper than the LGB track. You will need an adapter to connect the power supply to the track. The starter sets with Thomas or Percy is an option

If you adjust the spacing (gauge) of the tender wheels it should work around those curves

I saw in the manual how there were different parts to the axle, wheels, and such where you might could do that. The problem for the most part on the tender is the axle comes out of the support. It is like I need a longer axle but I was able to bend in the metal supports a bit.
