The Bachmann Thomas models I have in my collection are engines 1 through 11, as well as Bill & Ben, Mavis, and Diesel. Edward and Henry are just two of my favorite Bachmann models. Diesel, Donald & Douglas are in my opinion some of Bachmann's best models (Even though Diesel has a CGI face)!! I love running them and I'd highly recommend getting them for anyone wanting to start their own Bachmann Thomas collection!!

I've been trying to get a hold of Bachmann Edward, here in the uk, for ages now. Finally thought I had him, paid £120 for him. Turns out, the online store miscounted there stock, and now getting a hold of Edward has now gone back to being difficult. SO I'm a little envious, admittedly, that you got one, but I'm also super happy you got one, as well.

This is awesome! I have a Bachmann Edward myself and I love it! As strange as it is though mine didn’t come dirty from the factory. I really like this model, I’ve had it for nearly 7 years and it still holds up.

I have Edward and it doesn't do bad on my points at all, at least not most of the time. I want to try and hotwire the tender to the locomotive to provide my power pickups. Not at the top of my priority list but eventually I hope

Edwards Bachmann model is great, the only problem is it struggles on points at slow speeds. This video was great, just as good the second time around.

I’ve been to the same display in Ohio and it’s truly amazing! The love and care that the modelers have is incredible! I’m looking for a Bachmann as well since I’m adding DCC & Sound to my Thomas fleet and I never did get Edward. Hope to find one soon!

I could tell just by looking at the model that he'd have pickup problems, Being cheaply made guaranteed he wouldn't have pickups in the pony truck or the tender. It's definitely an unusual departure from Bachmann's quality, but I think I still prefer the Hornby version. With a bit of delicate work, though, the Bachmann version could definitely be fixed up - like adding pickups where possible to the other wheels to address the points problem.

If you can't find shtuff on eBay or Amazon, then I recommend TrainWorld. It has an Edward model for pretty much 100 dollars. Not the best price, I'd say, but still decent.

Personally models that are dirty are more so the fault of the people in China who package the models. Dare say its a case of people just don't care anymore. Last year I purchased one of Bachmann's 1:20.3 2-6-0 models (RRP of $1,300) and it arrived heavily damaged due to being improperly packaged from factory. Thankfully Bachmann replaced all the damaged parts at no cost (especially since I had video evidence of me unboxing the model), so everything worked out in the end. It's a real nail biter when you spend that much on a model and it comes damaged out of box.
