Bachmann sure has come a long way with improvements in their products. That switcher is as smooth and quiet as my IHC 2-6-0 Camelback ,lol. Great job!.

Somebody already opened that thing up and put that metal in there to weigh it down. They also removed the crew figures from the cab.
@wallysmodelrailroading3 ай бұрын
@@Traingamer5 gotcha. I removed the crew to make more room for decoder and wiring.

Thanks again Wally, I love that patafix, used it on my dcc conversion of that saddle tank switcher. My little loco is the smoothest running loco of my small fleet. runs smoothly on step 1 backwards and forwards, starting voltage setting 3. I could probably even go slower but why would i want to. I may order up another one.

New Subscriber Sir! Love your Videos! I have a HO DC layout and trying to change over to DCC but I'm not good at wiring and very confused on DCC! Taking notes on all you do and you make it look easy! Do you have any track wiring Videos? I looked don't think you do anyway thanks for all the lessons!

@@EricSmith-ve7qi thank you very much. I’m glad I could help out. You are correct I don’t have any track wiring videos currently but maybe I will in the future.

Hi, great video; I just bought a new one and the removing of the boiler, etc was quite easy, it wasn't glued in like yours was. I am wondering what kind of putty you are using and found so useful. Thanks
@wallysmodelrailroading3 ай бұрын
@@ralphdelgado2345 thanks I’m glad yours was much easier to take off. The putty I use is called UHU patafix Pro Power. You can purchase it on Amazon.

Hello Wally I am writing to you from France. I also own this lovely locomotive that I got for $70. I would now like to convert it to DCC sound. Can you tell me which decoder you used, as well as the speaker reference. I'm afraid that in Europe I won't find what I need to do this work. Perhaps you could point me to a specialized site where I can find all of this. Thanking you in advance Wally Very cordially Jos

@@josesastre2030 hello, sure see below for the decoder and speaker I used. Decoder - ESU58823 Speaker - ESU50321 Possibly the best place to find these items would be on eBay. Another favorite website of mine is called Iron Planet Hobbies. Thank you and let me know if you have any other questions.
