I keep discovering new Bach cantatas all the time. I had KZbin on background, going through the old cantatas I like. I was in deep concentration on my work. But then I had to stop everything in its tracks to listen to this new cantata I've never heard before. The opening is again a construction of delicacy and consummate art. Bach impresses me once more. This keeps happening!

Jesús María García Aréjula Thank you very much for your interesting question. You are right! Because the reference „Corale segue“ in this cantata is not exactly clear Mr. Lutz used this situation to compose something new. Best regards

Lieber Herr Brunnemann, der Schlusschoral stammt von Rudolf Lutz. Er komponierte ihn zur Kantate hinzu, weil sie oft als "unvollendet" bezeichnet und deshalb auch eher selten aufgeführt wird. In manchen Aufführungen wird dann einfach ein Pfingstchoral aus Bachs Händen hinzugefügt; wir entschieden uns für eine etwas festlichere Variante. Musizierfreude pur!
