Same here! Its mindblowing how few people in English speaking countries know about the Bachstiftung whereas they ALL seemingly know about the Netherlands Bach Society’s ‘All of Bach’, which in my opinion doesn’t have anywhere near as much impact and importance as this project. I guess it’s because all the amazing accompanying lectures and workshops are only in German. The project is primarily private funded by a very gracious Swiss businessman so I guess it makes sense that they don’t need to make it an international venture.

Beim Anhören aller Kantaten, die über mehrere Jahre hinweg aufgenommen wurden, verfiel ich in den Bann der Stimme von Jan Börner! Ich sende ihm ein großes Dankeschön für diese unterschiedlichen musikalischen Darbietungen! Aber auch der gesamten Gesangs- und Instrumentengruppe bereitet jede der aufgeführten Kantaten unbeschreibliche Freude! 🤗🙌🤗👏🤗🙌

The Sinfonia is played much faster than I usually hear the violin concerto played, but I think it works well with the organ.

Nice of Lutz to give members of the choir a chance as soloists in one of the lesser popular cantatas. The countertenor was top notch, as always, in some ways, besides intonation, the bass was actually better than a few of the regular soloists, but hiring a tenor might have been the better option. The recently released videos haven't been on the same level as most of the earlier ones.
