Der Choral am Ende, umwerfend, temperamentvoll und ruhig zugleich, fantastische Wiedergabe! 😊😊😊

Another beautiful performance. It lifted me in into a wonderful feeling of joy and happiness. Thank you Bach and the wonderful performers who did an outstanding job of giving his work the it deserved.

Amen to that! And we, 300 years later, become familiar with texts Bach chose to share with His listeners !

So many thanks for such a wonderful work, from Rota, a village close to Cadiz-Andalucia-Spain. I'm a music lover for some 45 years, but only now, my fault, I'm really following all the JSB's Kantaten. I only hope that music will survive COVID and, since we live a society celebrating centuries and so on, the Leipzig Kantaten cycles will be duly celebrated since May 2023 onwards. I'd like so much to see you playing live. But I thank you for your generosity to share with all the people these recordings. All the best!

How can any sane person deny the existence of God when he gave us Bach?

Johann Sebastian Bach might object to your theology -- he didn't write "S.D.B." on his sacred music.

Richard Allen, there is no God. In stead I prefer to thank Bach's parents for the important kind of "work" they did back in 1684.

@@geiryvindeskeland7208 So his parents designed him? They did the fun part, but God formed him in the womb, as King David said about himself. He also said, "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." Listen to the five minute video, From bacteria to Beethoven by Stephen Meyer on KZbin.

George Breidenthal, thank you for the link. Darwin? I am not interested in Darwin, I am only curios about how the life started in the first place. Scientists in our days don't know too much. I guess that they need at least another 100(200) years before their level of knowlegde are good enough.

Crediting God only for good things is simply the double standard. I mean, Christian people have so much narrow view of the world and can think only one way. And they are unaware of their limitation. If you are born in a different culture or situation, you can easily forget about any religion, and think that God is total non sense. I'm a huge fun of Bach, but never of the religion. I personally feel believing science is much healthier.

Interesting "micro-trombone" (e.g. 0:48). Never seen such an instrument, is it genuinely baroque?
@charlesjenner19514 жыл бұрын
It is a slide trumpet that plays a special score, probably an addition by Bach (Gilles Cantagrel). The horn player who plays this instrument is an excellent specialist in baroque music.
