Hack To Scratch Golf Stop focusing on the result and focus more on the process. Remove the bogey from your mind and focus on hitting quality shots, one shot at a time.

Hi, was wondering if Karl has had any invites to play on any main tours as a amateur ? Thanks Steven
@KarlGolf5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Karl's had a few, such as the Vic Open recently, but it didn't fit into his schedule. Karl is constricted by only having 35 absent school days per year. That's a big issue and is why he only plays 1 tournament per month when school is in session.

The Course, and in particualrr the Greens and bunkers, were designed by non other than Alistair McKenzie, the same gentleman that designed Royal Melbourne, Augusta National and the likes. One of his famous students was Donald Ross, who designed Pinehurst #2's Greens in with dome tops as well, making it possible for only the most accurate shots to get near the flag.

Paul, Check out this video and study what Rumford says about the feet and knees kzbin.info/www/bejne/lafNeoarrdKfa9U Karl has been adding a lot of lateral movemrnt in the knees in his chipping stroke giving an additional unwanted power sourse that is making touch calibration much more complicated , complex and difficult to gauge than need be. It is a 5 minute fix and you need to sort it out now because if you don't it will lead to the chipping yips.
@KarlGolf5 жыл бұрын
Hi John. Already onto it for many months now and just today sent another lengthy email stateside about this exact issue. Like you say, when using the legs to drive the shot the feel disappears. Furthermore, should the leading edge catch the turf even remotely, there is no way of recovering from that point whereas there is if done correctly. Thankfully I have an enormous archive library where I am able to show the other end in the US that Karl has done it perfectly in the past, but somehow in these past 3-years whilst we've been living on opposite sides of the world, various people have dropped the ball. It's why I insist nowadays (since taking charge of the direction of Karl's game just shy of 12-months ago) on receiving weekly video examples of every part of Karl's game. The chipping is the final piece of the jigsaw as it saw Karl fail to get up & down 9 times in Adelaide, yet he still shot 8-under. The putting is back now that I got Karl to go back to the counter-balanced option which he used so successfully previously. His alignment was a mile open when he arrived into Australia for the Adelaide tournament last month but by the time he left, we had that back to where it should be. Likewise, the bunker technique had completely gone awry, but I was able to get that back on track during his visit here in October last year. Whilst under his previous coach, Karl shot rounds of 77, 80, 77 at Sage Valley's Junior Invitational. Karl asked me to take over the reins the day after that event and I got him back to shooting 71, 68, 67 just 3-weeks later by going back to the basics. Since then he's risen to the top spot on the Rolex and risen to 34 of the WAGR. Once the chipping is sorted out he'll go to another level.
