😍This is my new favorite video on the channel 🥰 all the excitement, the great driving progression, even my camera framing progression, all the funny moments, having the track all to ourselves, the shop, the staff, the food, and then your gift of the gab and KZbin mastery ❤️. Thank you so much Glenn, it's an honour to have you as a friend 🥰 ... And then the absolute most heartwarming part.... The fantastic comments from your awesome community 🥰🥰 happy rc'ing indeed 😍

I think what you’ve proven is the TT02B is a great starter kit for someone who eventually wants to go to the track. You can build the basic car, learn and then improve to a decent standard while learning how to drive and hop up. You can then graduate to a more expensive kit if you want to take it further. Everyone has to start some where and sometimes as we’ve been around the hobby for a while, we can forget that. Well done, great series.

Wow that, was such a big improvement over your last run. I actually found that quite hypnotic to watch, both good laps and crashes which you now seemed to be able to recover most and continue the lap. I may also need to treat myself and get one of those Tamyia Brush-less motor's as it was clear from this video just more control you get over the acceleration. It was like watching the TT02B be converted from an American drag racer, to a European sports car. Finally I now see why you would pay the extra money over a cheaper sensor less brush-less setup like I have in my DT-03.

Loved the whole series Glenn.. i was on the edge of my seat, i knew you could get that 14sec lap! That lower KV/ higher turn motor makes the effective gearing so much more suited to that small track, and the sensored motor gives you much smoother throttle control at lower speeds. Being geared for 57hmh on the last attempt didn't help at all. Thanks for your effort making this series. I'm a fan of the tt02b.

It's been great to follow these videos all the way through and see the car and your driving of this car improve. Brilliant entertainment, thank you. The only thing I feel was missing is as you mentioned several times you had maybe reached your driving limit but maybe not the cars? It would have been nice to see someone who had been putting their car round in the 12.5's have a go with the tt02b? Just to see its full potential. Again as you have mentioned, not comparing it to high end racers but just to see its actual limit. Again thank you for a brilliant set of videos that I have thoroughly enjoyed watching

Couldn't disagree more, by the time you've upgraded this to anywhere near race worthy, you could have bought a proper race bred machine. Same for touring cars, i have a TT02 which i've thrown the kitchen sink at, it has everything, and it is competetive with top end touring cars, but it's cost me double what i paid for my Schumacher, and getting spares is a nightmare. These cars are for people who like modding, you HAVE to modify these extensively to extract any sort of performance out of them, it can be done, but you will always be at the limit of both the cars abilities and yours...

Improvement is an improvement! I was going to suggest then you mentioned it was keeping the speed up instead of blipping the throttle. That was the one thing I heard during the video. I'm learning it too at our dirt track. I used to be an Autocross Instructor/Chief back in the 2000s and students/racers who are on and off the throttle create alot of weight transfer which makes the car hard to drive (understeer, then oversteer). Trying to be consistent on the throttle helps keep the car planted in the turns and prevents you from going wide.

I like your channel! Watching you drive I could tell that you were way more confident than your last track video which is a good thing! I was thinking that maybe you would have been quicker with LESS motor/or dial down the punch and speed settings in the esc or transmitter. That way you could push it a bit harder without getting into trouble you know. I have an old Associated T3 that I run with a tekin 632 redline sensoress brushless motor that is way "under powered" by todays standards. While I sacrifice a little in the straights I make up that for everywhere else in that I don't have to be so careful with my throttle control, and I can really push the car. A few years ago I was passing T5s that were so fast, but every mistake was magnified. As for that jump in the back I see that you punch it instead of going in smooth on the throttle. When you punch it the car squats down more and your car is nose up in the air and the car either falls short or its rear hits the deck upon landing. By taking it smoothly with speed you could apply slight brake in the air and the car would land perfectly on the down side of the jump. For what its worth I think the TT02b is a fine buggy for club racing, even against more modern cars because its the driver that makes the most difference. Last thing is I wonder if you would have been quicker with an all stock TT02B with a decent brushed motor paired with an awesome set of tires and an expensive servo. That way you wouldn't be worried about breaking anything expensive and you could drive fast without overthinking. Just some thoughts. Take care and I look forward to more vids. Also I just subscribed!

Unlike in off-road, where suspension, and weight distribution play a bigger part in performance, carpet requires mainly an efficient drive train, low weight, low center of gravity, good steering, and the right tires of course. By those accounts, the tt0b isn't far off.

Nice work. The car looks like it’s handling nicely. You could really see the difference between the tyres on track. Great video as always 👍 Not trying to school you so take this as you may. I suggest practicing a controlled consistant speed? Start slow and then work the trottle up as you get it right. I've noticed you like to throttle in bursts when you run and that's where you are losing your times. I was showen this technique from a old chap years ago at a local track. It took a bit to make myself stop the bursts but when I did get it and was able to mantain a continuous speed and only letting off when required. It becomes more about your steering and breaking after you get the throttling down pat. that's when I became very competitive with other well groomed racers. Everyone has a different style of running there RC's, just thought I would provide a suggestion....for what it's worth. The TT02 chassis is a really great kit for the dollar tossed at it. The bad part, it gets brittle the more hop-ups you put on. Looks great but performance is less. Out of the box with great tires and a good motor is where this chassis performs the greatest. Ha ha Looking forward to the next video's 👌

Great video glen and don’t be down hearted with your skill level( your a lot better than most) but watching the jump after the wall hairpin a little slow over the jump so you landed sooner would save another half second. Remember when your wheels aren’t on the ground you can’t break, accelerate or steer and your right about being wide on the corners but practice makes perfect. Please remember your talent is more than a-lot of others which is why I love your video’s keeping going and improving you are doing great 👍

Hi Glenn! Excellent video, and great series on the TT02B- hope you continue it :) Really good to see your improvements with the car- and then your improved confidence with the car , and getting those lap times down :) Early in the video I was getting itchy typing fingers, and Yoda quotes coming to mind like 'Accelerate or Brake -there is no Coast!' ;) Then as you went on, less throttle blipping, less coasting- excellent work Glenn! Obviously you can drive from all your TC experience, nice to see the confidence coming back though- a car you can trust helps doesn't it? :) I'm no expert so what can i say... I'd like to see you match Peter's electronics in the TT02B next (hey Peter, nice job!) -then I'd predict the limits of the Tamiya would be plastic durability and set-up & fine tuning limitations... Nice one Glenn, look forward to the next one :) -oh, quick question, I noticed early on all the nose-dives over that far ramp, then less, -wondered if you consciously playing with throttle in the air or if it was instinct kicking in?

This is my favorite series. New to rc with Neo being my learning curve. Looking forward to dirt track to find out if 10 5 turn has enough power to wheels. I run mine on low cut grass and loose dirt and heard lower turn engines can not be powerful enough off road.

This was excellent, really ace. We all saw a perfectly legitimate 14s ;-) Couple of things. For the uneducated, what does a sensored motor do, particularly for low end control? How does it work? From a project perspective, how does the total cost of what you've created compare with an "out of the box" top end race equivalent from the same era? More, less, the same? I guess from a project and development perspective, this is more rewarding! The way you swayed with each turn brought back a lot of memories from my brief and totally unsuccessful club racing days! Love it and kudos!

Hey 👋🏻 Fantastic I’m glad you enjoyed the video my friend 😊😊😊 It’s something to do with the ESC knowing exactly what position the rotor is in which then delivers full grunt. That’s an extremely basic description but it’s the best I can do lol 😂 As for cost this isn’t the cheapest way to go racing, I’d guess it’s cost around the same as a decent ish race car 🤔 but as you know that wasn’t really the aim of the project 😅

Nice work Glenn! Great progress! I would probably increase the ride height a bit, as when it bottoms out, it destabilises the car, even 3mm all round might help. It’s always going to be a balance, going too high and you will have problems with traction rolling. Great to see you enjoying yourself, that’s what it’s all about, can’t wait for the dirt!
