Although Nike looks like it has a winner here in the Zoomfly 6, you are the second reviewer I've seen have concerns about the forefoot cushioning. Yowanna said the same thing about the lack of forefoot cushion feel and was harsher about it.
@justjared8214 күн бұрын
Yes, it’s not terrible, but it doesn’t feel like 35mm of cushion. I think thats a common thing with Nikes though. Have you experienced that?

Good review, very usefull information with no bs... I wonder what your weight is.

Did he hate them? I guess I can watch his review now

@@justjared82 he calls them 'gloomfly bricks' 😂 He has a different opinion on a shoe than me in a fair number of cases. Particularly the Superblast, which is my favorite shoe of all time by far but which he hates. Everybody's different. Different physique, running style, fitness level etc. Different preferences in feel and ride. If you read or watch a review paying more attention to the reviewer's subjective feelings about it you're doing it wrong. And if a reviewer focuses more on their feelings about the shoe than on describing its features and performance in disinterested terms, *they're* doing it wrong.

Gloomfly Bricks…lol, pretty funny. It is interesting to hear the different opinions on each shoe. Thanks again for watching.

While I completely expect different runners to have a variety opinions on a pair of shoes Yowana's review really confuses me. He says he feels like there's no cushion and that he is slamming right down on the carbon plate. Meanwhile I find the ZF6 to be one of the most cushioned shoes Ive ever worn and I almost question if they are too soft. It doesnt even sound like the same shoe.
@justjared82Ай бұрын
@WildOutdoorLiving I understand, I feel its a little less forgiving in the forefoot but not terrible…at 20+ miles i may not feel that way.

Solid review, Jared. I’m in the “sounds-good-but-don’t-need-it-yet” camp that you you described. But maybe next year, when I’ve worn through all my super trainers, I’ll pick this one up at a discount!
@justjared82Ай бұрын
Do they ever go on discount?!?🤣

Great info… didn’t know you are FD, retired LEO here. Another reviewer said same thing about lack of forefoot cushioning during long or faster runs. I watched a Nike Zoom Fly vs Adidas Evo SL yesterday and this reviewer who ran through wet pavement w/some fallen leaves said grip of both shoes were bad but was even worse on Evo SL. Since I don’t need either, I think I’ll wait for the ASICS Novablast 5 to ship beginning of December
@justjared82Ай бұрын
The FD pays the bills(and buys the shoes🤣). I didn’t think the grip was bad, but there weren’t any leaves on the track. Congrats on retirement…8 more years for me unless I can get a desk job, then I might stay longer.

I don't have the Zoomfly 6's, debating getting a pair. I had a pair of Pegasus 40's and very little forefoot cushioning for someone in my case that weighs 191 lbs. I haven't been very impressed with Nike shoes overall, in my opinion/case Asics, NB and even Reebok make better shoes.
@justjared8214 күн бұрын
I heard that…the Pegasus is awful in my opinion😂

Love the visuals . All these shoes are 170-200 and every brand keeps adding a max. Magmax, glycerin max, ghost max, surfer max, ultra max , I’m maxed out. Super trainers too. I think im aiming for endorphin speed 4, evo SL and maybe try Hoka Mach x 3.
@justjared82Ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, Andrew! Yea, between “Max” and some version of “roll” it’s starting to get repetitive. The Mach X3 fixes that upper, should be a great shoe and Brooks is finally getting in the Peba game.

So it seems like a pretty good tempo shoe. How's the toe off feel? Nike shoes always feel thinner than I like at the toe even if they report the forefoot stack as being comparable to other shoes I like.
@justjared82Ай бұрын
I thought it felt propulsive, especially with the ground feel in forefoot area. One thing I didn’t mention was it has that typical “Nike” slap sound when you run, not as bad as Tempo Next% but still some noise.
@MLHuntАй бұрын
@justjared82 Somebody went by me in a pair of AlphaFlys on my run Sunday. I guess it's different from the slap but man are those things loud! It actually startled me.

😛 you’re not sneaking up on anybody in those!

@@justjared82 How does this shoe compare to the Tempo Next%s (and the Superblast if you have tried them)? I loved how I could hold the pace for long distances in the Tempos easily. For context, I've tried the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 and the Boston 12, but they didn't even come close. The closest I have got to that feeling is in the Adios Pro 3s, but those can't do quicker paces well.
@justjared82Ай бұрын
These have more cushion than the Tempo Next%, but are as “poppy” without the air pods. I think if you took the TN% a long distance you could take these even further due to more/softer cushion. As far as SB, I didn’t like those at all so I may not be the person to ask. I thought the SB felt like running on Yoga blocks. Very bulky and boring, so I obviously like the ZF6 better. I hope this helps!
