it could have something to do with self harm or something like that, which KZbin can't allow. Plus i could be dangerous in which someone could copy this who is not experienced and then burn their house down... anythings possible,

@@wardfiction5693 You're probably right but YT still allow people to post videos of themselves doing ridiculously dangerous things e.g Sam Pilgrim recently posted a video (still up) of him riding a home modified bike with 24" circular saw blades for wheels. No injuries in that example but there are loads of videos of people hurting themselves doing dangerous things, the only way this would be different is because you "hurt" yourself on purpose.

I'm glad I grew up in the 70's, and 80's when you could do stupid stuff that would get your ticker going😊. But because these morons judge us by their own standards they think we aren't capable of making our own judgements and decisions so the choice is taken out of our very capable hands,for the sake of idiots. I've seen plenty of disturbing crap on KZbin and stuff that's infinitely more dangerous,go look at Colin Furze' (an absolute fkn legend) spinning tyre of death for instance😮,it's about as dangerous as you can get but magnificent at the same time. The technical term is “sticktion” used to be a problem with 1G harddrives back in the late 90’s. Happened a lot to my Sun boxes (SS2 and IPX) - the ‘fix’ was to either take the drive out and do a quick 90 degree twist, or the preferred method (since it did not involve disassembly) was to pick the box up about 6 inches from the desk and drop it. The shock did one of two things. Started the drive spinning (yay), or killing it for good (boo). Had about 95% success rate with the drop approach.

Short traces, small loop area, and I'd go so far as to say that it's aesthetically pleasing. And not one but *two* decoupling capacitors across the battery, and one on the MCU, _and_ one across the power connection?! I remember my dad going to a barber shop in the early 1970’s run by an 80 year old called Chorley on Cowbridge Road in Cardiff. When my dad had his beard trimmed, Chorley would “taper” it, using a lit wax taper to singe the ends - quite fashionable back in the day.

I remember as a teen in the 1970's we had a large, very heavy and expensive window Air conditioner, that suddenly stopped cooling. it cost $500 USD [ which was a lot back then ] my dad had a repairman come out and look at it. and he found that the compressor had locked up, so he took it back to his shop, and jolted it with 220 V and UN-froze it . unbeknownst to either of them, a curious little boy had played with the thermostat turning it up and down, causing the compressor to seize... Wonder who it could have been? [ Pointing to my younger self ] 🤐
@gorak9000
@gorak9000 7 ай бұрын
That's why they have 5 minute lockouts on the compressors now, so if the compressor was running and it stops, it won't restart for 5 minutes, allowing the pressures to equalize and ensuring the compressor will NOT lock up. It's not your fault the unit was shoddily designed... :)

Punctured a tiny hole on the bag´s back-side, filled-in cream-soap/water- mix, and stuck it beside my basin with a double-sided-tape (thus, sealing the hole too), ready...!!! Still have to press a lever, but it doesn´t require recharging and takes 100-times less material to build (weights just mere grams, after all), lasts forever when not abused... If the problem recurs, I wonder if you could make an enhancement to send a controlled higher higher voltage surge to it to perhaps kickstart the motor if it has gotten a bit frozen. I know it's completely unrelated, but I'm thinking of an additional capacitor they added to my house outdoor A/C condenser unit to kickstart the compressor with more "umph," which they told me was a good thing. (I thought I may have gotten scammed but this additional capacitor is in the schematic of the unit as an optional component.)

Drop of oil at both bearings should do a better job. If this doesn't help - time for a replacement motor. Of course, dirt in the soap may have have caused this problem, then overvoltage may help crushing debris.

I tried to mix 1:10 or whatever they suggest for using hand soap in these and they always clogged up in the aerator foam generator thingy because the mixed soap always seemed to eventually form thicker regions. I switched to the foaming soap which is more expensive and you use more of it (because you don't dilute it) and I haven't had another dispenser clog on me. Unclogging them sort of seemed to work for short periods, but once you mess with those foam generator 'pills' they never quite work right again.

One of those "Repairable by smacking it"-items. Guess a slight loss of contact on the motor brushes caused it to just be dead and not move. Extracting it probably fixed it.

I have one of these soap machines with a 7-segment display and 8 levels of foam output. I got it last December and it is still running on the initial charge six months later despite being used 5-10 times a day. It also has a capacitive sensor to warn when the liquid is almost empty. It is one of the nicer inexpensive products from China, Inc.

The ones they sold on the Australian market needed 4 AA batteries that only lasted like 2 months. Their own branded soap was not only expensive but did not really produce foam, just a dabble of soap. So we ditched them.

I bought a foam soap dispenser from LIDL. Ran off 4x AAA. The batteries rusted, as did the battery contacts. It clogged when I used a white shower gel -- turns out opaque gels have bigger particles in them, even clay. Always use clear soaps in these. While it did save soap, it didn't last long enough to break even, even without considering the batteries.

Same first word, second swapped-out for _„Mallard“_ in the example I'm thinking of... 😉 (Specifically: What was being uttered by the fitters when they saw just what _Mallards_ 126mph record breaking run had done to her valve gear and various other bits of the steam equipment. The motor getting stuck reminds me of when I was a computer technician in the late '80s. some hard drive motors would get stuck and to get them going again you had to spin the end of the spindle on the bottom of the drive that touched the grounding strap. You could then copy the data off onto another drive.

Is it really beneficial to have decoupling capacitors for something powered by a battery? MLC capacitors always seem to be failures waiting to happen, so it feels like avoiding them wherever possible might extend product life.
@bigclivedotcom
@bigclivedotcom 7 ай бұрын
Decoupling capacitors are needed to avoid the processor glitching due to tiny voltage transients caused by switched loads. The low value MLCCs are less troublesome than the higher value ones.
