My preferred surround format for watching movie on my Denon X38000H 11.4 speaker set up is Auro 3D , the sound is more presence , the bass is more alive vs Atmos or DTS X , is about time AURO 3D start kick in AMERICA

I run auro3d for everything, what a thrill for old movies in stereo. Makes lackluster atmos mixes great. Have to say the VOG (voice of god) speaker puts chills down my spine!

@@vishaalgargi of course you know the speaker formats overlap, so I can choose atmos if the track is good. Really want your mind blown and have so many questions? I have a denon 3800 in auro, sending to a sony 7000 in atmos giving me 9.6.10 auro/atmos

in my case my setting are top front ceiling/rear height/back surround/rear surround/front/center/.4(four independent subwoofer Denon X3800H. For this layout I able to use Atmos/DTS X/AURO 3D, my prefer is Auro 3D upmixer @@vishaalgargi

@@Professor5180I'll let the pro's do the yt vid, I just simply send out a signal from hdmi "out" to the 2nd avr's input, and turn on zone 2. Then select the corresponding speakers to cover all the speaker locations you want. btw last year I also did 2 denon 3800's and that was great too. Had one avr on each side of the tv and could control with each remote as needed.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by the Auro upmixer the first time I heard it and have been a fan of it since. I would definitely be in favor of Auro coming over here to the US. It would be a rough row to hoe for them, but I hope they go for it. To answer your question Ealan, I have both a processor and a receiver that have Auro. Wouldn't be without it now.

I watched The Thing and unmixed the 5.1 to auro 3d and it was sensational. I have no idea how they get the height channels so accurate and active. I’m a huge fan! May even use it for some of the poor atmos mixes too.

I use Auro-2d setting under movie on my Cinema 50 5.1 system to watch streaming content now. Should I be doing that? I think the vocals sound better most of the time.

I’ve been scouring the internet and keep running into roadblocks. I wonder if Denon has stopped supporting firmware updates for the x4300h since I believe the option to add Auro 3D has been around since 2017… 🤷‍♂️

I've been in contact with denon and they responded with, Good afternoon, I hope this email finds you well. I have spoken with our engineer regarding this and they believe you may need to contact Sound United who own the Denon brand, the engineer advise he believes this is now a download they can provide you.

I don't know how the video delivery work on streaming but maybe Auro CX can lead to true 4K video. I'm excited to see Auro CX in action. I thought I heard that Auro CX was going to be added to avrs on the market that have Auro-3D capabilites. Thought that was stated in Jiles interview with their CEO.

Here’s an official content list from Auro (link below). But in the U.S. Auro is mainly used as an alternate upmixer for immersive audio, other than Atmos or DTS:X www.auro-3d.com/content/

@@kenkaminskyj3170 you just press the sound mode button and cycle through the available formats, Auro 3D is like the 3rd one down. You may have to have your speakers in a compatible format.

Apparently it had a free firmware update back in 2018 that supported Auro 3D. You may already have Auro 3D support, honestly. But it’ll be good to double check for firmware updates. In the menu, just go to Settings > General and check if there is indeed a firmware update. If you’re up to date, Auro 3D should be there.

the biggest issue i see is support we are only just getting dtsx streaming not to mention upmixing dolby atmos digital plus vs atmos true hd are very different if we could add this upmixer into our systems like soundbars or pcs id like the idea more

Never died .. they had a plan to go to the source. =) ... I got my Denon with Aruo3D for a purpose. but then .. IT died .. so haha.. ironically .. the unit i choose died.. even if the format came back. we'll see if it survives the repair process. =)

Dolby Atmos is object-based, Auro3D is channel-based. Completely different systems.
