It's funny how you Americans say things like "it's only 1 and a half hour aways, that's so close". I live in Europe, and if i went one hour in one direction, i would be in the Czech Republic, if i went one our in the other direction, i would be in Germany and if i went one hour and a half in the other direction, i would be in Slovakia (I live in Austria)

@Paulina Wurm My brother had a friend come visit from Portugal. He asked us to come pick him up from the Washington D.C. airport. We were excited he was coming, but we are from Topeka, KS. Washington D.C. is about 1100 miles away from us! For reference, this is about the same distance as the distance from Vienna, Austria to Barcelona, Spain! The situation was certainly awkward. But no worries... we drove 17.5 hours to Washington D.C. and got him from the airport! lol!

🥰💕Welcome back home glad to hear your safe at home. I’m sure everyone missed you. I love the bookcase what a great find & the rainbow 🌈 was so perfect for their room. They will always remember helping paint their shelf. You’re an amazing mother. I’m a mother of 4 & all college grads now but I remember those days when they were little & I missed that so much. My funniest memory was a terrible rainy day when we couldn’t go outside to play I found a fun activity. I had plastic storage containers filled with lentil beans because I didn’t have sand. I put a large blanket on the floor & let them play with scoopers pouring the lentils in & out of containers. It kept them busy for hours. Not so messy as sand I thought I was so clever. When they were all done I took the blanket outside to shake off all the lentils onto my new sod. A few weeks later my husband called me outside to see the horror of some alien looking growth sprouting up through the new sod. I realized it was the lentils had all sprouted!! 😂😂😂😂Megan I thought you would get a kick out of that. Try it Eve & Jude may enjoy it. Let me know if you try it. 🥰💕🧶🧵👍👍

I think the concern everyone was having with the trampoline is that it’s sitting on concrete. Same reason why swing-sets are placed in grass and not concrete.

Yeah i found her answer to be very arrogant. I know its annoying when someone tries to lecture how you should parent but if people see something and comment on something that can be MORE safe..why not ? She basically said she does not care if they get hurt thats the risk she is willing to take ? Before there were no nettings it was just trampolines and the reason they started to make them was because of all the accidents. Its on concrete at least have it on grass and maybe under the ground if your not getting a netting. I dont know man. I would think parents would want to have things more safe for their kids. Not everyone it looks like. 🤷♀️

I'm happy you put in that little part about renting/buying. I was about to buy a house. I signed a contract. I said a little prayer that if this was not the place I'm meant to be, there will be something that allows me to get out of it. And there was. I was not upset (but oh-so-stressed through the whole process) and I think buying is something I may still wait to do. If I were in my forever area it would be a different story. I feel like spreading my wings a bit and seeing what else is out there in the future (this is already the fourth state I've lived in in the past 7 years). It's nice to know that there are others out there in the same sort of situation. It may not be conventional, but it is amazing!

I wonder if there is a similar argument for kids being more aware of their safety if they don't think it's going to be a safe landing? A lot of parks used to have their play equipment on concrete, I don't know if changing that has made a difference either way? I can see the arguments from both sides.

My only concern about trampolines is head & spine injuries from jumping on it. And the other potential injuries from bouncing off of it.

We visited North Carolina about 15yrs ago and my friend had a river on the property- she said she didn’t swim in it because they had to watch out for snakes, water moccasins or a coral snake, is that not the case for all water there? Only Daniel is still fluent in his native language. I believe Esther can understand a lot but Eve and Jude only know English. The parent’s priority was to make the adoption transition easier by focusing on English. In the future, if the children want to learn or re-learn, they’ll support them.
