You can replace just the plastic part of the soft top. An upholsterer can do this pretty cheap for you. That miata is so good for the money. Hope to see it in and amongst the Z content.

Registration in Queensland, Australia costs me over $1000AUD ($670USD) for my 350z for a year.

yeah with CTP and rego costs it’s about $1300AUD for me in NSW. then there’s comprehensive, which obviously isn’t mandatory but you’d be silly not to!

350z is 1/2 price of a 370z but comes with more issues/maintainance to do, 370z is more updated, less headaches and newer but basically double the price of a 350z. i recommend saving up for a 370z with low miles years 2013+ unless you just want a 350z right now for cheaper

They can be a bit dangerous, but if you are responsible and spend a lot of time really learning how the car drives, I think it's a good first car. Really fun, good looking and pretty affordable! Just a bit expensive on gas at times, but most "fun" cars are going to be a bit bad on gas! Appreciate you tuning in man!
